Henry's Enterprises Inc Head Office Reviews (%countItem)

Customer service is terrible. I returned something I paid in cash, and because of this, they're supposed to mail me a cheque. I was told it would take 5 business days, it's been 1.5 months!

I probably called their customer service line 50 times (no joke), they cancel your call after 2min of waiting and even after I left dozens of voice mails I never got a callback. I've sent a couple of emails as well and nothing. I went back to the store and all I get for an answer is call our number or send us an email.

. I emailed them regarding a camera purchase but they did not e to my emails. I emailed and called the company corporate office multiple times but no answer. This is not how a company should conduct business. Awful company. When I visited the Newmarket location they informed me that they would not price match with *** and if I want to I should go to ***.

Hello Neshat,

Yes, we are currently unreachable through our phone system, however we have zero communications that match your name in our email. Please email ***@henrys.com and we will investigate the situation.

Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Henry's. I always held the company in high regard, and tried ordering print enlargements from them before the holiday. They arrived late (fine, it was the holiday) and DAMAGED! I have put in multiple emails to their customer support and have had NO RESPONSE to date. Their customer service is non-existent!

Henry's has always offered exceptional service at both the store and commercial level. I have been a customer for over a decade and they continue to be my go-to for all of my photography needs!

Henry's Camera Store purchased*** Stores in B.C. or took over their premises at the end of November 2018. My son had purchased a gift card of $100 for me but when I discovered I was about 3 weeks too late to purchase some camera equipment. Henry's Camera Store was only able to offer $20.00 off on the purchase of $119.99 ***; therefore I had to come up with $100.00 in order to get the item I needed. This did not make any sense; I would have to pay a $100.00 for a $100.00 gift card. My son had wasted his money and I am very dissatisfied the way this matter is being handled. How many people who gave their business to *** are now going to give their business to Henry's Cameras(??) especially when they have been given gift cards right up until Nov. 30/18 the date the business changed hands when they find out they can purchase using a very nominal amount on the gift care. There is something really wrong with this.

We want to clarify that Henry's did not buy the *** business and has no association or ownership of the business. We did however assume the lease of their Victoria location after The *** business closed their doors. We are not associated with the *** business at all so while we always can help to address your needs when dealing with Henry's we unfortunately cannot help with purchases or support between yourself and the *** business as it is a completely different company. We had only leased their old real estate location and not the business itself.

I did get a response from Henry's Cameras and I am sending you my reply. I was about 3 weeks too late from using my gift card because the change happened Nov. 30/18 (and I went in the 22nd of Dec.) the change in signage was over-night.
This seems unethical to be taking over the lease in the same 'business type' shop and not have any responsibility to the customers that were buying gift cards right up to the last minute and they knowing that paying customers were going to be ripped-off.
Henry's Cameras must have known the effect this would have on photographers and the general buying public when they were taking over the same spot and yet they take no responsibility for their actions. They wanted that lease so that they would inherit the continued business and clientele but they don't seem to recognize the responsibility that comes with an already established business.
This is very unfair and should be considered the cost of doing business and they should honoured the gift cards that people purchased for future business their location.
I find this very disreputable.

Dear Simon A.,
You must have known when you were negotiating the takeover of the lease while *** was still in business selling gift cards and merchandise that there was going to be some kind of residual effect on the customers who were putting their trust and hard-earn money in a well established business.
If you did not realize that and having been in business for such a long time yourselves it seems you run your business without a conscience.
I am a photographer and know many on the island and I will have to take due diligence, you can't thank me for something you have lost.

Good afternoon Elaine,

Thanks for reaching out. We want to clarify that Henry's did not buy the *** business and has no association or ownership of that business.

Henry's apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused and thanks you for your business.

Best Regards,

Simon A.
