I got hired from Ms*** to install a retaining wall at back yard 30% degree hillside with existing materials which she had sitting on front curb or side of driveway for some timeI gave a price for labor onlyVerbal and written agreementNO MATERIALS. I'm so sorry to hear about the
concrete squares that are sinkingThe reason of sinking is the concrete curb which Ms *** declined is marked on the original written agreement #It was not built around concrete squaresWe had an agreement verbal and writing which Ms *** never followed. Ms *** changed all agreements from the beginning making it more work, more materials, and more time at the same priceThe agreement was two weeks and it came out to days of work at the same price. At the retaining wall the agreement was cubic yards of fill in soil which took cubic yards of fill in which I brought in to the back yard without being paid any extra. That wall agreement was 5' to 6' ft high which came to 8' or 9' ft high with no extra pay. I rented heavy equipment to do this project to bring in all materials to the back yard to build the gravel base and fill in dirt which I spent $3,on rental. On second agreement build concrete steps two steps solid concrete steps we had an agreement of regular stepsMs *** changed all project to hollow steps gap at the middle which was really difficult to build and it took a long time, more materials, more work with the same price but we did it. On concrete squares different sizes between 6'x12' to the smallest 2'x2' squaresWe agreed to broom finish but she decided to change to sand blast finish which was not on the agreementThen we made an agreement she was paying $1,extra for materials and labor which she never paidThen my job was almost done. The last thing was rocks 3/4" river rock and mill plastic between concrete squares which river rock runs for a price of $per yard. She changed to Mexican pebble rocks which cubic yard is about $Need two yards for this projectI asked Ms *** for money to buy the rocks but she told me to finish first and then I can get paidMy balance was $Then she asked me to install lawn with sprinkler system which I charged $but she told me if I can lower the priceI cut back to $to pay for my materials which I never got paidI walked away without payShe called me and we had an agreement by telephone she can keep my remaining balance to take care of minor concrete problems which she was complaining about and she agreedBut she called me again and we had a meeting at her houseShe wanted to hire me again but I told her I don't work for freeShe offered me to pay aheadI walked away before I got in more troubleThen she sent me a message she was taking legal action if I am not coming backI decide not to go back.And about pay she never paid ahead of timeShe always paid behindFirst pay I received was weeks after retaining wall was built. This property is 30% degrees hillside back yardFrom the beginning she accepts concrete curb along concrete squares, but later changed her mind not to do itOn #of written agreement I did explain the importance of the curb, but it was declined again. Now she is complaining of some sinking squaresNeed to install concrete curb 8" deep by 6" with the rebar around concrete squaresThe money she claims paid $24,000-$my profit $of sand blast the rest is on her propertyOn square feet of concrete, rebar wood framing, retaining wall 75' ft long by 8' high, cubic yards of fill in soil, lawn, sprinkler timer, etc. This is the reason I will not work for the ***.I have sent you a copy of the written agreement which she never followed
