Reimbursement of $500 deposit and Requesting dealership Audits for their Certified used vehicle practicesHi,As my wife and I recently searching for a reliable used car, we have come to a conclusion to buy a Honda CR-V as the best option for our family needs. In addition, we also wanted to mitigate the risks associated with the used car buying process by choosing to buy a "CERTIFIED" used car as the 150-point safety check process for all the certified used cars was highly spoken of by the Herb Chambers [redacted] reps and [redacted]. After finalizing our decision regarding the make, model, year and color, at the Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough location with the sale agent [redacted], we were told that a vehicle of our like is available in Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington location and they could bring it over for a final test drive if we would commit to a fully reimbursable fee of $500, which we have agreed to on August 17th, 2013. When we arrived at the Westborough dealership, the 2011 Honda CR-V was ready for a test drive with clearly marked "CERTIFIED" stickers at multiple windows similar to almost every used vehicle in the lot. The test drive went terribly wrong as the vehicle had a huge mechanical noise as witnessed by three of my family members and acknowledged by the [redacted] rep, a mechanic from the shop and a [redacted] Among several alternative explanations regarding what could be the root-cause of the noise coming from the vehicle, we were not given any reasonable and/or convincing explanation why such a vehicle was falsely labelled as "CERTIFIED", which completely devastated our trust to the certified used vehicle process. If requested, I would be happy to elaborate on the details of the discussions on this matter.As we have walked away from this dealership we were told that the $500 deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours. Out of good will, I have requested several updates, as documented via email communications, and been very patient, however, none of the promises were put into action over the past 30 days.
