I was scheduled an appointment with Ace Appliances through my manufacturer to come out and service an appliance under warrantyI was called by "***" to inform me that the appt I had was not available and that the only time the business can schedule me is from 1-4pm, right in the middle of the dayI asked for a morning appointment due to my work schedule and it not being my issue that my appliance was malfunctioning less than a year after purchaseShe told me my address is "too far away" for me to be given a morning appointment and "if I had a problem I should call my manufacturer to schedule with a different service provider." I waited called backGot "***" AGAINI asked if there are any Saturday appts, or alternatives since I cannot take time off of workShe proceeded to tell me noI asked for her manager or supervisorShe rudely informed me that she WAS the supervisor and that I need to call my manufacturer againI asked if since she cannot complete the appointment that was confirmed by her company along with my manufacturer if she can call and arrange a mutually convenient time to complete my service on the appliance that is not working any longerShe said she " doesn't get paid to sit on the phone for over minutes on hold and that I would need to take care of that by calling my manufacturer myself." She almost hung up on me and the only information I could get out of her was her name and the business I was trying to do business withI think the attitude and tone in which she spoke to me was NOT professional and I can't even imagine ACTUALLY doing business with this company when it is this hard to get an empathetic employee to schedule a realistic appt for a working patron
This guy has no sense of urgency or customer service. When I hired him to paint my home exterior and re-build my screenroom on Jan. 3, 2015, I paid him 100% in advance because I trusted him. I was impressed with his so-called "lifetime" warranty and told him that I was in no hurry since it was a cold January. HE DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB UNTIL the MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER! Weeks and months would go by with no sign of him. His contract said he would finish in February -- which I told him was not a concern for me because the weather was so cold. But it should have been completed in the spring. When he was hired, he knew I was very concerned about the warranty -- I even asked him what his retirement plans were and if the warranty would still be backed if he retired. In fairness, I will say that the paint job he did was good but the screen door is as flimsy as it ever was and he left that unpainted. I was over-complimentary of his work when I sent him emails during the job because I wanted to stay on his good side so he would complete the job. Worse, when the job was finally wrapped up -- I asked about whether he would leave a little touch-up paint behind in case it was needed. I believe that is standard for most painters. His response to my request for touch-up paint was an email response that said, "Total cost of me for one gallon would be well over $100. What I do offer is that if a client needs a touch up in the future they can call me and I will then make the paint and do the warranty work." This is another lie. After some dings on the paint (that were not his fault but were created after the job), I contacted him only to be told by email "My old computer had your formula and it ceased working." He recommended that I chip it myself and try to match it. SOME WARRANTY!
