My account is paid in full.I was not advised I could receive a refund for my 2 remaining treatments when I relocated.Dr. [redacted] is refusing to refund meI was a braces patient of Dr. [redacted] and received my last treatment in Sep '12. I relocated from NC to ** in Oct '12 because of work. I was told by an emplyee of Dr. [redacted], [redacted], that once I found an orthodontist in ** my records would be transferred there. I found an orthodontist and my records were transferred. At no time was I told by anyone from Dr. [redacted]'s office that I would be refunded for the remaining 2 treatments I paid for but did not receive. At my first appointment with my new orthodontist, I was told that I should be refunded for those treatments, which could go towards paying for continuing my treatments and someone from his office even called Dr. [redacted]'s office on my behalf referencing my refund. I contacted Dr. [redacted]'s office and was told by [redacted] that Dr. [redacted] was not going to refund me because too much time had passed, which was a little over a year. The reason why that much time passed was because I am from NC and I planned on going back to visit my family and decided to continue being treated by Dr. [redacted]'s office. As time went by, a demanding work schedule supporting our nations soldiers and being furloughed twice as a government employee made money very tight and I could not afford to make it back to NC to visit my family or continue my treatments. With every holiday that passed, my intention was to try to make it to NC for treatments on the next holiday but I simply was not able to because I could not afford to travel. I explained all of this in detail to [redacted] and asked her to relay this to Dr. [redacted] and she told me she would. When [redacted] told me Dr. [redacted] was not going to refund my money, I was extremely shocked and surprised. I told [redacted] that didn't make any sense to me because it shouldn't matter how much time had passed from the time I was last treated by Dr. [redacted] until I began treatment with my new orthodontist. What mattered was that I paid for 2 treatments that I did not receive and the additional time it would take to continue my treatment was between my new orthodontist and me. I told her to have Dr. [redacted] call me to try to reason with him because it just didn't make sense to me why he would want to keep money for payment for work his office didn't perform but it's been over 2 weeks and he never called me. I feel cheated and disrespected.Desired SettlementI am requesting to be refunded for the 2 treatments I did not receive.
