Dear [redacted],Below is a response regarding complaint ID [redacted] about our business:1.[redacted] was told he should have his bike painted in the winter,2. He stated he had two bikes both red, and he wanted one painted green.
3. We scheduled [redacted]...

to bring his parts in.4. After [redacted] brought his bike in, our painter had an knee injury and was out of work. All customers had to wait for their vehicles to be painted until we found another painter. 5. It took almost 3 weeks to find a new painter to paint part-time (night shifts) to help with the backup of paint work.6. Working 15 hour days was very difficult being 71 years old.7. We made it clear to him we are an auto body shop for cars and trucks, motorcycles are a Second priority.8. [redacted] picked the color his bike from the paint sample we showed him, he complained he didn't like it after we already painted it and showed him the color, We repainted his bike for him a different color free of charge,9. [redacted] requested his HELMET not be painted after we already painted it for him.
10. [redacted] claims his bike parts weren't wet sanded, cleaned, and buffed, We have been in business for over 50 years and know how to properly paint bike parts.
11. [redacted] came to our shop lurking around and making employees feel uncomfortable. We asked him to be patient and leave until his bike parts were finished.12. [redacted] said it would only take 1 day of work to paint his parts, l guess hes an expert and we never painted anything before with 54 years of experience)
13. [redacted] got his bike parts and helmet on June 27, 2014, 14. We did the best we could to get his bike parts finished in a timely manner while also taking care of other customers.Painting is a very time consuming process which requires patients to maintain high quality work.Thank you, herbie's Auto Body Shop

Review: I was quoted (6) days toget my motorcycle tank, fenders, and side covers paintedI dropped the parts off on April 15, 2014.They didn't touch them untill last week at which time they painted them the wrong colorThe owner Ray said that they would repaint them the next day.I went there the next day and They were not touched.Ray again said the next dayI asked if he could paint a helment that I had just bought along with the bike parts and he said yesI told him if the bike parts were not going to get done the next day, DO NOT TOUCH THE HELMENTThey primered the helmet but didn't touch the bike partsThey finally painted them the right color today but messed up the helment, and didn't wet sand and buff the bike parts to remove the dirt that they got in the paint.Ray said they would get to it when they can, that they have other cars to paint, people need their cars to get to work adn I just haveto be patient.I told him I'm done being patient and want my parts tomorrow tomorrow NO more lame excusesHesaid he would get to them whenever he does.I told him if it hadn't been ten weeks, and they didn't paint my bike parts the wrong color we wouldn't be having this conversation...anh he told me to get out of his shopMy motorcycle has been sitting at north American warhorse this whole time waiting for the parts to get painted so they can put it back togetherI would Never have had it painted before winter if I was not quoted (6) daysHerbie's has cost me TWO Months of motorcycle riding by lying to me.Desired Settlement: I want my bike parts done tomorrow and expect to only be charged for one paint job, not charged for the prep work to repaint them, or charged to repaint them, and not charged to paint my helmet which he was told not to touch if the bike was not going to be done completely finished the next day.And a discounted price for taking (8) weeks longer than expectedI was quoted (6)days, but expected it to take (2) weeksEven though it is only (1) days actual work
