Hercor Hotel

Review: I booked a room at this hotel on 5/31/15 for the night of 6/2/2015 for $132.22. My work supervisor informed me that day I would not be able to fly out to California that week due to a work obligation. I called the hotel to cancel on 5/31 and I spoke to a woman who accepted my cancellation verbally. I did not receive a written confirmation of cancellation as I had requested, so I called again the next day on 06/01 to get this confirmation and reiterate my cancellation. I was then told I had to cancel by email by emailing [email protected]. I did not receive a reply after I canceled by email on 06/01, after also having canceled by phone on 05/31. Because I did not receive a reply, I emailed the morning of 06/02 as a follow-up reiterating cancellation. Only then did their representative answer my email, saying that it was too late to cancel. The hotel then refused to refund me any of my money. I disputed their credit card charge with [redacted], dispute [redacted], which I won on July 23. The hotel then charged me AGAIN on August 12 even though they had lost the [redacted] dispute, and even though I had not had any contact from them or with them. This second charge is fraud given that fact. I disputed this August charge with [redacted], dispute [redacted], referring them back to my previous dispute, which I had won. This time, the hotel sent [redacted] a purported screen capture of my accepting their terms and conditions which they state requires two days notice. I was never shown this screen at time of booking and never accepted those terms. The reason is I had used [redacted]o book this hotel and was never shown the screen image in question; everything was accomplished through [redacted] site, not the hotel's. Regardless, I had canceled on time. But the hotel lied just to keep the $132.22, saying they had to pay [redacted] a commission of $24. [redacted] believed them on the second dispute and the hotel kept my funds for a room I never used.Desired Settlement: I cannot believe this hotel's determination to steal customer funds. I would like a refund of the $132.22. In the spirit of compromise I will let them keep the [redacted] fee of $24. This hotel has really caused me a lot of stress and trouble with Wells Fargo and I will probably leave bad reviews for the hotel on every single review site I can think of if they do not give back their ill-gotten gains. I'm hoping they respond to Revdex.com reasonably.
