On August 4, I enlisted the moving services of this company for a move within the District of Columbia The advertisement through which the company solicited my business stated that three movers and a truck would be available at the price of $80/hr I called on the phone to hire the company and confirmed the price advertised Only two movers showed up to the house Before the move began, I orally confirmed with the driver that the full price of the move would be a lower fee of $70/hr I was specifically told that there would be no hidden fees
Once all of my belongings were locked in the truck at the final destination, the Hercules employee asked me to sign a bill for $in hidden fees These fees included money for tape, boxes, blankets, etc., which were not mentioned previous to, or during, the move I was never asked if these supplies were acceptable to use, and thus had no say in these charges to my bill The employee threatened to keep the furniture if not paid th
