This is a response to [redacted] complaint about a transaction between her and Heretick Feed and Seed in [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] ordered a bagger for a [redacted]r that was purchased by her husband from us in June 2016. Heretick Feed did not have the bagger in stock. The bagger...

had to be ordered (12/23/16) and because of the size it would have to be shipped by truck line and our employee said that to get it delivered from [redacted] to [redacted] would be about [redacted]. Heretick Feed is not a shipper we have to rely on our supplier to get the best freight rate possible. Also, because of the size suppliers will not ship baggers to a non-business address, so shipping it directly to her was not an option.  After receiving the bagger at our location (12/27/16) Mrs. [redacted] was called and told it was in. Mrs. [redacted] then asked us about delivering it to her. She was told there would be a delivery fee for us to bring it to [redacted] from [redacted]. She instead had someone with a truck pick the bagger up. The next time I heard about this was when Mr. [redacted] called me 12/30/16 and asked for an explanation. I explained to him that the truck freight to ship the bagger from [redacted] was [redacted] and that Heretick feed split that with his wife. He also told me that Tony had been rude to his wife. I apologized and told him that was uncharacteristic of our part time ** year old because he is usually very courteous but I would speak to him. Mr. [redacted] then asked me about the availability of getting a tow hitch for his mower. I told him we had them in stock and because of the misunderstanding with his wife I would give him the hitch kit (approx.. [redacted]). Mr. [redacted] then asked if my service people would mind putting that on for him when he brought the mower in for service this Spring. I pulled the part and have it sitting on my desk with his name on it. I also asked other employees about this incident and two other employees had also answered questions posed by Mrs. [redacted] during this transaction. At that point I thought that was the end of this unfortunate situation.I have to think that this was a misunderstanding of terminology of freight/ delivery. I also thought after my discussion with Mr. [redacted] that this matter had been resolved. In my speaking with my employees and Tony they did not have any recollection of being rude however, does anyone ever think they are rude. But, to their defense Mr. [redacted] really never told me what was done either. The letter that I received from the Revdex.com was the first indication of what was deemed rude. I have since talked to Tony and others here who deal with the public that listening to things in their entirety sometimes leads to better solutions. Finally no one intentionally misled or meant to be rude to Mrs. [redacted]. And I am surprised it went this far after speaking to Mr. [redacted]. Tim H[redacted]Heretick Feed and SeedHopewell, Va 23860[redacted]

I have to think that this was a misunderstanding of terminology of freight/ delivery.
