they are ripping off their customers overcharging on the gas charging yearly fees without any notice that they will start charging these fees

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Heritage Energy regarding complaint ID [redacted].
In the original letter I sent to Heritage Energy, I requested to be contacted by email since I am not staying at the moment at...

the residence, which was serviced by Heritage Energy. I cannot rule out that Heritage Energy has sent mail to my residence.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I have been a customer of Heritage energy for sometime and have never had a problem with them. Starting on Dec * I was taken off automatic delivery for a late payment but that week I paid my bill in full and then ask for my delivery!!! I called almost everyday that week and the weeks of dec ** thur dec **. My oil tank was below zero and I knew I could run out on Christmas day and be in my home with my family like frosty the snowman!!!! And that is what happened it was 5o degree in my house and I called the ER line from heritage and no one would call us back on Christmas night! Finally after 3 to 4 hours a guy called saying he had been out all night delivering oil to people who Heritage had let them run out!!! We were so lucky to find another oil company to help us and we got 100 gallons!! I am beyond words how hard this was on me and my family. I have closed my account with Heritage and would let everyone know to never trust them again. I have lost all trust on there word and service! I have health concerns and without heat people could die in there own homes. I feel this is a very deep issue that must be addressed right awayDesired Settlement: To repay emergency service cost from other oil company and the cost of repair for my boiler to be serviced because oil tank was so low the boiler got dirt in the lines!!! Total cost about $190

Response:

Please consider this written response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com by [redacted].

· The reason that [redacted] was taken off of automatic delivery was as the result of deliveries of fuel oil and propane that were unpaid for after 90 days

o 166.1 gallons of fuel oil ($629.35) delivered on September *, 2013….remained unpaid until December *, 2013

o 14.7 gallons of propane ($80.54) delivered on September *, 2013…remained unpaid until December *, 2013

· Unfortunately, it appears that [redacted] paid for both of these approximately 90 day old balances because she needed more fuel

o Reinstating her account for fuel delivery, after she made her delayed payment, caused her to be routed for delivery, during a cold weather period that presented challenges to keep up with deliveries to other customers….who had remained on automatic delivery.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that [redacted] experienced as the result of the circumstances surrounding her delinquent payment and we wish her all the best with her current supplier.

Thank you,

Review: I recently purchased a new home. This property contains an underground propane tank that fuels our backup generator and gas fireplace. When we purchased the home the owner confirmed, in writing, that we owned the propane tank but that he had purchased the fuel from Heritage Energy. At the real estate closing we paid $over $800 for the fuel that was in the tank. In short, we own the tank and we paid for the fuel in the tank. On July **, 2013 without permission or notice to us Heritage Energy locked our tank, thereby cutting off the fuel supply to our generator. We discovered that our generator was not working on September *, 2013. On September [redacted], our generator company, Peak Power Systems, provided a service call so that we could determine why the generator was not working. They were the ones who discovered that our tank had been locked by Heritage Energy. This service call cost us $226. I contacted Heritage Energy on September [redacted] and they tried to convince me that they owned the tank and that I needed to lease the tank from them and set up a service contract. Only then would they unlock my tank. They would not take my word that I owned my tank. I had to contact my attorney, the prior owner of the property, and another propane company who had installed the tank and who could verify that we owned it to convince Heritage Energy that I owned the propane tank. Today I will be calling the police to charge Heritage Energy with trespassing and vandalism.

Once the lock on my tank is removed, which still has not occurred, I need to spend another $250 to Peak Power Systems for them to flush the air out of my propane lines, reset my generator and make sure that my gas fireplaces are working. This is a total of $500.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome of this complaint is that Heritage Energy will perform the following: 1) Pay the $226 to Peak Power System for the original service call that determined that our tank was locked. 2) unlock my propane tank 3) have their service technician flush the air out of my gas lines, reset my generator and show that my generator and gas fireplaces are working so that I can avoid an additional $250 bill with Peak Power Systems and 4) they are never to set foot on my property again - if they do I will call the police as they are trespassing.

Response:

I don't know if you are handling this one....

We informed of the complaint by [redacted] and I have already authorized payments to peak power systems for $226 to be sent out on 9/**/13.

I have been informed by our service personnel that her tank has been unlocked as soon as we realized the mistake. Should there be a reasonable requirement for requirement for additional service by peak power systems, we will cover that as well.

Thank you,
