Heritage Household Services was hired at the last minute by our family of adults and small dog to conduct house cleaning prior to an open house for our home that was up for sale We had a regular housekeeper who had just moved back to the Philippines, and the house was in pretty good shapeJust the usual dust and fingerprints etcOur original housekeeper was able to complete her cleaning satisfactorily in a hour time frame each week We were told hours would be sufficient by Heritage as well The cleaner they sent to us (Connie) mentioned she was not feeling well that day and had very little cleaning done in the first hoursShe seemed to enjoy socializing with me as I worked in my home office (even disturbing me as I spoke with a client on the phone) and kept taking frequent smoke breaks outside I had to ask her three times to resume cleaning as time was of the essence I eventually called Heritage while she was here and asked if they could extend the cleaning 'until all was done' After hours, the supervisor came to pick up Connie and did an evaluation of the premises The supervisor remained in the house with Connie in the car for minutes She was finding dirty floors, dirty carpets, smudges on stainless steel appliances, rags and cleaning supplies left behind (in two rooms) by Connie and a dirty kitchen with streaks on the floor The supervisor was appalled and said she would deal with this and provide someone else to come in and clean as soon as possible When I didn't hear back, I contacted Heritage's Fran Cwho became argumentative and denied everything that I recalled to her Connie apparently spent time moving boxes for me (that didn't exist) This was something I was willing to pay Heritage extra time for, but again, it could not be started because Connie wasn't able to finish with the cleaning hours and the home was still dirty (verified by Heritage's own Supervisor) Our home is sq ftWe live a minimalist lifestyle so there was nothing in excess in the home I then received an email a week later (February 10th) from Fran saying they were going to reduce my invoice (that I had already paid) from $+ tax to $+ tax due to Connie's incomplete workI never received the refund When I called today (March 22) for the 2nd time, I was told they had decided to not issue the credit as Connie completed her work up to their standards Wow, those are pretty low standards for a business! I'm questioning why the change in their story? Maybe because I sold my house and wouldn't need to use them again? Great work Heritage! Your honesty, your word (promise of a refund) and your work integrity leaves much to be desired Others need to be aware of this incident

Just the usual dust and fingerprints etc. Our original housekeeper was able to complete her cleaning satisfactorily in a 4 hour time frame each week. We were told 4 hours would be sufficient by Heritage as well. The cleaner they sent to us (Connie) mentioned she was not feeling well that day and had very little cleaning done in the first 4 hours. She seemed to enjoy socializing with me as I worked in my home office (even disturbing me as I spoke with a client on the phone) and kept taking frequent smoke breaks outside. Our home is 1250 sq ft. We live a minimalist lifestyle so there was nothing in excess in the home.

I then received an email a week later (February 10th) from Fran saying they were going to reduce my invoice (that I had already paid) from $240 + tax to $150 + tax due to Connie's incomplete work. I never received the refund.

When I called today (March 22) for the 2nd time, I was told they had decided to not issue the credit as Connie completed her work up to their standards.

Wow, those are pretty low standards for a business! I'm questioning why the change in their story? Maybe because I sold my house and wouldn't need to use them again?

Great work Heritage! Your honesty, your word (promise of a refund) and your work integrity leaves much to be desired. Others need to be aware of this incident.
