On 12/9/15 IRET had an internal processing issue and a payment that was made from back on 12/2016 for rent in the amount of $725 got sent to the bank for processing as a result of human error. As it was explained to the consumer, when IRET...

realized what had happened a refund was given immediately to the checking account. Then, a few days later IRET got notice that the payment had been disputed and stopped, and was required to return the money again. So, in essence, IRET deposited funds twice back to the checking account - the first time when the error was discovered and a second when we got notification that the payment was stopped. So, IRET was requesting back the additional funds of $725 that was deposited into the checking account.
IRET offered to cover any charges as a result of this error.
IRET will send a check for $50 to cover the cost of the late check fee. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. The address that the check will be mailed to is: [redacted] Rochester MN 55906. Also a follow up letter will be mailed which will indicate that IRET will no longer contact her or charge her for anything to do with Heritage Manor Apartments.
