Heritage Property Management deserves a ZERO. Bottom Line....Horrible, shoddy and unaccomplished property management company. Rodents in the kitchen and walls. Constant unsafe and hazardous plumbing issues with sewage continually backing-up in the bathroom toilet, tub and sink, also the kitchen (I was accused of putting too much food down the garbage disposal). When I called to report the flooding issues I was told that “no one here knows about that property and [redacted] is gone for the day” click. No working dishwasher, which was part of my lease—I was accused of using the wrong dish soap when it never ran in the first place. After 18 months [redacted] from Heritage finally ordered a new one only to be “lost” and never found--never installed. When I first moved in Heritage’s painters had painted the kitchen and bathroom cabinets shut, and upon opening the cabinets the paint began peeling and ripping on the first day. I endured the friction upon opening and closing the drawers and cabinets causing sawdust to cover pots, pans, dishes and food, so I had to re-clean all my dishes before each use. FOUR water service shut-off notices in 22 months (which Heritage paid for as part of the lease) before Heritage was put on an automatic payment plan. Never once did Heritage inform me the water bill was paid, I had to call the water service company myself to make sure my water would not be turned off! The garage flooded every time it rained destroying personal items because the back lacked rain gutters and the driveway slope in front drained directly into the front of the garage—simple fixes. Termite excretions clearly visible damaging the garage. Rotting patio overhang in the backyard that was not only dangerous but full of dive bombing carpenter bees. Was told it would be fixed upon moving in, nothing happened. Heritage’s staff was uninformed and VERY unprofessional. I once stood in their office for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me while Heritage’s staff went on about their personal lives. I have at least 18 pages of documentation and pictures on all of these issues which Heritage never ever followed-up on. [redacted] did apologize for all my issues once I gave notice. The move-out inspector said the house was spotless with no issues and I know I left the duplex in better condition than when I moved in. In fact, the unit was rented right away. To top it all, Heritage refused to return a portion of my deposit for painting. [redacted] said “so sorry, but we believe it is fair to deduct monies for painting!” Wonder if they used the same crew who painted the cabinets! I deserved my entire deposit back. Heritage’s property management was lacking and I'm sure the owners of the property have no idea.

Review: We have lived in a home rented by Heritage Realty for a year and a half now. When we moved in we were promised all the garbage inside the home as well as in the garage was to be removed. It took over three months to get the truck loads of garbage out of our home and garage. It took days to clean our home when we moved in. The house was unlivable when we moved in. The house was dirty from garbage, cigarette butts (hundreds and hundreds), and filth. The first night we lived her the upstairs shower leaked to the downstairs bathroom through the light fixture. It was very unsafe for water to be leaking through the floor into the light sockets! It took the plumber two weeks and four trips to fix. There was damage to the ceiling that has not been taken care of in a year and a half. When contacting Heritage Realty they told me our problems were not high priority and would be taken care of eventually. They are yet to be fixed in a year and a half. The upstairs toilet ran constantly for month charging us extra on our water bill. It took two months to get that fixed. The bathroom wall is crumbling (before we moved in) and has yet to be fixed. Heritage Realty still owes us $50.00 for work we did in the laundry room. It cost $750.00 in total material costs ($700.00 has been paid) and we did all the hours and days worth of work for free! We were given three days notice to decide if we want to release or not. We were forced to resign the lease on January 4th when our lease is not up until June. We have no other choice than to sign the lease, because we cannot find another place to live that far in advance. I don't feel the company should be able to force us to sign the lease six months in advance! This is a corrupt company in so many ways! They will not fix problems in the rental, takes literal months or years to fix problems if they do, and make you sign the lease way too far in advance. I wish I would have seen the Revdex.com rating of an F before renting!!!Desired Settlement: We ask that we be refunded the $50.00 the company owes us and to fix the problems in the house that were in no way our fault.

Review: Heritage Realty company has failed to provide me with a copy of my lease that I signed upon subletting a room on the property from a name previously on the lease. This is under the pretense that only one roommate of the six bedroom house remains the primary account holder, and that this same person receives ownership of the one copy of the lease that is provided to a house of six tenants. I have called and have requested they email me a copy of the lease agreement and have offered to drive down personally to collect a copy for my personal records, however they refuse to help me and provide this information under the statement that they are too busy and I need to take a number and wait for them to get back to me. The reason for my interest in the a copy of the lease is that they are failing to provide me with a refund of my security deposit. After having spoken to them today July 1, they told me that the deposit was mailed to the house I was renting from them. I failed to provide a forwarding address, and they were unable to tell me what that meant for receiving my deposit back and that it would take 30 days for them to cancel the check from today. My lease ended at the start of June, so as of today they have broken the law and the contract I signed by not providing me with a full or partial refund of my deposit, or an explanation as to why I won't be receiving any of it, within 30 days of the end of my lease. Additionally, this is a company that has nickle and dimed many of their customers, including my friends, that is very unprofessional and failed to resolve issues with the property management while I was renting from them from January to May of this year, and I would like to see that they own up to their dishonesty.Desired Settlement: I would like my security deposit refunded, along with a fee I paid to sublet my room from a previous tenant, and to have all my records and association with their business erased.

Will not respond to emails. Took 3 months to get security deposits back. Charges unnecessary cleaning fees. Ignores phone calls. Never do business with this company, they are extremely difficult to work with and communicate with.

My girlfriend and I moved to Pullman from Seattle in 2007 and from the day we moved in there were problems. For instance, we talked with them about moving in on a Saturday and they told us that a key would be provided and that the walls would be painted. We arrived and were surprised to find a "locked" door, and after several attempts trying to call them (we made calls to their emergency number and went out to eat hoping that they would get back to us) there was no response. My dad finally just used a credit card to bypass the "lock" on the door. The walls were not painted, in fact the apartment was not even prepared for us to move in, although they had told us they would be making improvements. Throughout our stay we had difficulty getting repairs done on time, and when they did make repairs the people they hired were far from professional.
When I moved out on January 15, 2011 Heritage charged me for the full month of January even though I told them this would be my move out date. They also greedily stole 90% of my deposit for a non-existent "inspection" and other made up fees. The Revdex.com has been trying to contact Heritage about my complaints but they won't even respond!! This will have the effect of dropping their Revdex.com ranking from "A" to "E" or "F."
The staff at Heritage Realty are lazy, underhanded, incompetent, & rude and I urge you to stay away from this slumlord company.

This realty place is the absolute worst! The secretaries are rude and so is the owner of the company. It took them two months to fix my washer and when my pilot light went out when it was freezing outside, it took them two days to eventually come over and do something about it.
