Initial Business Response / [redacted] (***0, 5, **16/12/23) */ I gave her a verbal quote of $ [redacted] to clean the guttersAnd $ [redacted] to patch the roofThat is what we charged herI would like to get paid for what we did [redacted] Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (**00, 7, **17/01/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) [redacted] verbal quote was $ [redacted] and I asked him to clean my gutters based on his quoteThe first I knew about a $ [redacted] minimum charge was after the worker was finished both the gutters and the roof patchThe worker showed me the work order and explained that [redacted] wrote on it, " [redacted] cash or email"I gave my email address because I had every intention of paying [redacted] and I did pay the quoted price of $ [redacted] plus tax within a month of billing Never would I agree to pay $ [redacted] to anyone to 'just scoop out' my gutters(Access is free and easy, they are cleaned regularly, and the amount paid the previous year was only $ [redacted] with a receipt)I thought hiring an advertised gutter expert would be worth the extra amount of $ [redacted] plus taxes, but Atwater's showed no concern about my gutters by washing them out, straightening downspouts, or making note of any needed repairsOnly a ladder, a 5-gallon bucket, and scooping out by hand occurred, taking less than one hour to go around the entire building; plus the amount removed from all of the gutters didn't even fill half of the 5-gallon bucketTherefore, Atwater's didn't do anything to justify doubling his original quote of $ [redacted] to 'just scoop out' the gutters At no time did I mention directly to [redacted] about patching the roof and so he was never in any position to give me a quoteI asked the worker while still in my yard to do the patch job and he was on the roof within minutes(Plus no contact with [redacted] was made in any way while he was in my yard.) I supplied the materials and the job took less than [redacted] minutesAfter the repair was made, the worker said $ [redacted] for that job(The worker was in my yard for no more than minutes all total, an amount of time the worker and me agreed to be accurate.) There was never any mention of $ [redacted] for this repair until I received his e-bill; and when I called [redacted] about the e-bill, he said $ [redacted] for the repair, but then quickly changed it to $** I did not sign anything indicating my agreement to pricing, I was not given a copy of the work order nor any paper work from the worker, and since there was no contract or any written agreement, it's his word against mine; but I do have some videos and pictures to help back up that what I am saying is the truth It is the inflated price of the bill that is in dispute plus it is very unacceptable to threaten me (after I paid the quoted price) with the intention to extort the inflated part of the bill

Attached is a copy of our warranty

Mr*** called us in regards to a bearing issue he had years after his purchaseThe problem he described to us over the phone was due to a serviceable issue that was not covered under his warranty We went above and beyond and sent him the replacement parts We were later presented with
a bill for the labor we never agreed to cover

Never would I agree to pay $*** to anyone to 'just scoop out' my gutters(Access is free and easy, they are cleaned regularly, and the amount paid the previous year was only $** with a receipt)I thought hiring an advertised gutter expert would be worth the extra amount of $** plus taxes, but Atwater's showed no concern about my gutters by washing them out, straightening downspouts, or making note of any needed repairsOnly a ladder, a 5-gallon bucket, and scooping out by hand occurred, taking less than one hour to go around the entire building; plus the amount removed from all of the gutters didn't even fill half of the 5-gallon bucketTherefore, Atwater's didn't do anything to justify doubling his original quote of $*** to 'just scoop out' the gutters
At no time did I mention directly to *** about patching the roof and so he was never in any position to give me a quoteI asked the worker while still in my yard to do the patch job and he was on the roof within minutes(Plus no contact with *** was made in any way while he was in my yard.) I did not sign anything indicating my agreement to pricing, I was not given a copy of the work order nor any paper work from the worker, and since there was no contract or any written agreement, it's his word against mine; but I do have some videos and pictures to help back up that what I am saying is the truth
