Herlihy-Mayflower Moving & Storage, Inc Reviews (7)

The Company is disappointed by the Customer's response. The Company feels the Claim Settlement is reasonable and fair. The Company is trying to smooth things out with the Customer, but it does not agree with the Customer concerning the tone or the mischaracterization of the circumstances of the move

The Business was notified by the customer about the damage to the Household Goods and Property Damage on Saturday afternoon 7/29/17. The business visited the Customer's new home yesterday, Monday 7/31/17, met w/ the husband, inspected the damage and discuss possible repairs. The Customer
was called and given an assessment. The Customer said they would call the office to coordinate the repair. Received a call today, Tuesday 8/1/17, about (1) hour ago from the husband. He requested the repairman to visit. Just got off the phone w/ Husband and Repairman to coordinated his visit. The Business is sorry for the damage and this has been communicated several times to both the Customer & the Husband. The Business understands this has been stressful for the customer and we want to do what we can to resolve the issues. The Business has not and would not discriminate against this customer or any customer. The Business feels the Customer's comments have mischaracterized the situation

Herlihy Moving & Storage (HMS) regrets the Customer's disappointment w/ the move. Moving can be stressful and HMS strives to take the stress out of the move, as best we can.Summary of work and charges:HMS packed boxes. HMS charged $for the packing.Moving labor was
$750, per the Binding Estimate.Total Charges: $860.This Revdex.com compliant from the customer is our only awareness of any problems associated w/ the moves. There are no complaints in the file. No notes or comments from the crew.Issues: The driver injured himself while carrying an item up the walk board. The rainy weather contributed to the injury, caused the walk-board to be slippery. HMS is willing to offer a $price adjustment as a "goodwill" gesture to resolve this issue.Regards, Joe H*** *** *** ** *** **

We just issued a refund of $597.72 to the customer's credit card.  I explained that we accidentally double invoiced for the loading charges.

[redacted] they sent out a repair man and their solution to fixing the floor would've ruined the floors even further and my husband ended up repairing the floors they just want to paint over a 3 inch dent in a steel door which is new which is my entryway door and it looks horrible that's not acceptable I want to new door not paint over a scratch and try to cover it up you can't fix a dent and scratch and steel also they did nothing to repair my wooden shelf they got broken and you cannot repair dents and big scratches in the wood of  the bedroom furniture.   My front door my furniture none of this looked like this before they moved it this is all because of them they were in such a hurry they were not proper  movers none of this is my fault I want my furniture to look like it did before they moved it and I want a new door the same quality the same time they carry it at menards and I think the business should compensate my husband for all the time and materials it took to repair the floors since they didn't do it they couldn't do it and the repair man showed up today to attempt to do the bedroom furniture and laughed and said he would be back and never came back i'm not happy with the outcome of this at all on this is us causing me extreme stress they just need to make it right they know it was their fault

I spoke with the customer over the phone in the hopes of trying to speed up the resolution process.  She will discuss with her husband and get back to me.  We look forward to an amicable settlement.  A quick summary:  [redacted]g received a check for $935 [redacted] from the...

customer.  This has not been deposited yet, waiting on the customer to approve this resolution. Our position is that the customer was undercharged by 1 hour due to a calculation error--the men didn't charge for the time from [redacted] to [redacted].  $135One of the mattresses was forced up a stairs with a textured ceiling.  This caused threads to pull out.  It would not have fit if into the room if we hadn't forced it.  The husband worked with the crew to get the mattress into the room and approved what needed to be done, we deny liability for this item.  The one mattress that is soiled we are allowing for a cleaning for that of $100.  We are offering a cash settlement for the toolbox 100 lbs x $.60/lb coverage = $60.  Total credit $160Difference owed to customer $35

The tone the movers used very harsh tones toward me when I asked him to cover up my belongings and told them to be careful not to scratch anything or they didn't cover anything they didn't secure anything and they was trying to shove a chair through the door way and my husband was trying to take the door off but they were in such a hurry they didn't want to wait and they kept trying to shove my chair in through the door that's how my door got scratched and dented  I also found dings and scratches On my coffee table and end tables and stuff as well because I have not been back down to the house I have been ill so I am not happy with this customer service at all this is poor  customer relations i'm sure if this was their furniture and belongings they wouldn't want at them destroyed either and tore up they also scratch the front porch to the paint out of it too that I noticed today when THEY was drAGGING my dresser across that to instead of putting it on something or caring if they DRAGGING it and my dresser since lopsided now because they wiggled loose THEY WHOLE THING! This is supposed to be a professional moving company I would not recommend this company to anyone under any circumstance is and I've heard from other people they tear up stuff all the time because I know a lot of business people in [redacted] and they said the owner just does not care!!!!I think they should step up and fix what I want text and make it look right and let this be behind me because this is stressed me out extremely bad they'll get no good referral for me ever and a lot of people I know I won't hire now either because of what the way they treated me they are definitely not professional and I name shape or f I think they should step up and fix what I want text and make it look right and let this be behind me because this is stressed me out extremely bad they'll get no good referral for me ever and a lot of people I know I won't hire now either because of what the way they treated me they are definitely not professional !
