this company is lying ..the floors did not change magically on themselves and the contract for stated by *** *** included *** *** also

The owner [redacted] went to the [redacted] residence to give an estimate on July 31, 2017 for repairing the floors. The quote that was given was to remove the existing oak floors in the kitchen and install new plywood subfloor with 12 x 12 vinyl squares on the top of the new plywood. The kitchen...

had all of the appliances in its place and we agreed to help move them around when the day of the installation came. Out contracts usually states that we don’t move any appliances or furniture but we agreed to this in order to help out the customer. Then in the bedroom it was to repair a few boards in area that had reacted due to water damage/ moisture coming from underneath the house. Then October 3, 2017 [redacted] the other owner who is charge of installing went to perform the work with a crew at the [redacted] house. They started to do a walk thru of the job to see what the spec of work that needed to be done. In the 12 X 10 kitchen the customer had old appliances and the new ones, including a standing washer. So that we wouldn’t lose a day of not doing anything, [redacted] decided to move all the appliances in and out to be able to work on the floors.  Then when we got to looking at the floors in the bedroom it turned out the floors had reacted more since last seen 2 months ago. The floors in the bedroom can no longer be fixed just by repairing a few boards. The floors had lifted up in so many areas in the bedroom due to moisture being under the house. At this time it was advised to Ms [redacted] that the entire floors in the bedroom have to removed and install back new ones. The price would be more the material and labor. Ms [redacted] then said that she did not have the money to fix it. So suggested that would leave the bedroom alone and deduct the $500.00 for the repairs in the bedroom that was originally quoted. Then we would just do the kitchen for the $3,000.00. Ms [redacted] replied that if we can do the kitchen and the entire floor replacement in the bedroom for the $3,500.00. That was something that we could not do because the bedroom floor was unforeseen incident since the time that the floors were to estimated. To the time they where back out to do the job in 2 months. The floors had reacted over that given time. So the crew left the house without touching any of the wood floors and appliances. Then we gave Ms. [redacted] her back her original cashier’s check of $3,500.00
