We chose Hernandez because of the B- rating and he was a good talker He's not a man of his word and you can't believe what he saysNumerous times he said he was coming over and never did nor didWhen they take on your job they dont work on it until it's finished, they work on numerous yards at once so they only work a few hours a day two or three days a weekOur control box isn't working right and my husband won't call him because he knows he won't show upHe's a nice man but he needs to be a man of his word

I am submitting this review to express my complete dissatisfaction with our landscaping project. If I had any means to terminate my arrangement with Mr. Gabino H[redacted] I would have done so months ago. My fault for not writing a better contract.
1. He took 7 months to complete a residential landscape that should have taken no more than 3 weeks even with bad weather. All of our neighbors, close friends and relatives ALL agree that the length of time to complete our small yard was ridiculous and uncalled for. If he had told my wife and I upfront that it was going to take 7 months to complete our landscaping we would not have hired him.
2. Mr. H[redacted] lied to us from the beginning stating his company had worked for our HOA and would have a landscape plan that would pass the approval process. It took 3 attempts and only after $800 more for a professional landscape plan.
3. None of his employees arrived on any day, during the entire 7 months prior to 10:00 am and most days only stayed for a few hours. Our neighbors all had several workman working no less than 8 hours completing work in 5 to 10 days.
4. None of his employees nor himself, referenced the professional landscape plan. If my wife had not supervised his workman and constantly redirected everyone to the plan, it would not have been followed correctly.
5. Mr. H[redacted] stated that we did not order the plant material on time as an excuse why his company took so long. Frankly, that is another lie, because he failed to tell us when he needed it. Then when we got the plants he failed to tell us to protect them from the frost, damaging 5 of the shrubs. All of our neighbors who had landscaping installed all had the vegetation installed the same time as the irrigation.
6. During the course of our project, his crews parked and dumped material in front of the fire hydrant. Our neighbor is a Battalion Fire Commander. The only reason his company was not fined $500/day for blocking a fire hydrant was that he is our friend.
7. Mr. H[redacted] and his company are unprofessional with no integrity. I do not believe that he would be finished now, had I not called and yelled at him to finish our project.
H[redacted] Lawn & Landscaping company turned an enjoyable project into a nightmare. I will never recommend his company, nor will I ever hire them for any future project or work on my property. Avoid this company at all costs.

Landscaper won't replace dead plants.Was hired 9/23/15 for a landscape job. Completed job in late November 2015 with planting of multiple plants and trees. Many did not survive the winter and are dead. Could not confirm viability when planted because they were planted so late in the season.Many of the plants and a tree are clearly dead. We set up a meeting with the landscaper in mid April 2016 which he failed to show up for. We have left multiple messages over the last 3 weeks but he won't return the calls.Desired SettlementInitially, we requested that he simply replace the dead plants and the tree. After 3 weeks of trying to meet we have given up on that and have decided to replace them ourselves.At this point we just want a refund for the price of the dead plants.
