After being in thier shop from 06/24/13 to 08/02/13, paying invoice by phone to have mower returned home, the lawn mower would not start.Lawn mower was picked up by Hernando Equipment on June 24th. I told them the mower was losing power. The next week was July 4th & they were closed. They told me a "coil" needed to be replaced and was back-ordered. I asked them to look at & repair grease fittings which they appeared to have done. Before they would deliver the mower, they wanted a credit card payment over the phone. The mower will not crank. It appears the battery is dead. If the battery neeeds repalcing, tell me so when you have the mower in the shop, not afetr you have delivered it, paid in advance.Desired SettlementThats a good question? I have work to get completed using the mower this weekend, after it has been in the shop for over a month. I will have to buy a replacement battery to get the work done. How can they make up for my lost time due to their poor servic and lack of professionalism? I guess if it tkaes them close to 6 weeks to get a part for a mower they sale and service, perhaps they are having problems I am not aware of. People need how poorly they operate their businss, not to mention the value of my time and money lost due to their poor performance.Business' Initial Response THE BAD BOY MOWER WAS BROUGHT INTO OUR SHOP ON 6/24. IT WAS CHECKED OUT & FOUND TO NEED A COIL. (NO FIRE TO CYLINDER) A COIL WAS ORDERED BUT WAS NOT IN STOCK BACK ORDERED. WE RECEIVED THE PART ON 7/26 AND INSTALLED ONLY TO FINE THERE WAS ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THE VALVE ROCKER & PUSH ROD.THESE PARTS WERE ORDERED & RECEIVED ON 8/1 & INSTALLED. THE MOWER WAS LOADED ON OUR TRAILER/DELIVERED TO CUSTOMER. HAD THE MOWER NOT STARTED TO LOAD & UNLOAD WE COULD NOT HAVE DELIVERED THE MOWER TO THE CUSTOMER. WE SPOKE TO CUSTOMER ON 8/14 HE HAS NO ISSUES WITH US AT THIS TIME THANK YOU [redacted] OWNER Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I was basically told that it was what it was. He did not assume any reponsibility in the manner in which the servce was rendered. It appears that I will have to write this off as a learning experience and will not use Hernando Equipment again.
