Pros:- Offered the best (initial) price among all shippers. Great sales pitch.
Cons:
Confusing information provided regarding estimate, shipping/arrival schedule, and insurance.
Breakage of household items during packing.
Damage to NEW wood floors during packing.
Poor packing.
Damage to $10,000 Tempur-pedic mattress by movers kicking and abusing mattress to fit into a full transport truck.
Lack of communication
Poor information regarding shipping insurance eventually resulting in no coverage for breakage.
Damage of $5000 table upon arrival at new location
Breakage of expensive antique furniture upon arrival at receiving location.
Home damage to carpets and walls at new location while un packing.
Poor communication of unskilled contract workers at new location.
Lack of communication to resolve damage issues.
In the end costs exceeded price of the most expensive shipper.
WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
I contacted Hero Moving Company Hawaii Inc. to move my belongs in storage to my new residence. Gabriel, the owner quoted me $120.00 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours, then changed it to $180.00 and quoted $600.00. The final cost WAS $1,200.00. He did not state that I would have to pay for the 4 staff to move my belongings or that their was a charge for 13 stairs to climb, his employees would not put the bed frame together. My storage is less than 5 minutes from where I moved to.
I find him to be a dishonest, unethical, unprofessional business owner. I was told by friends that I should not have paid the bill, not knowing better I did. I want others to be informed so that they don't make the same mistake that I did.

We do our best to have an accurate estimation of what the move actually takes. Size of trucks and guys to do the move. On the day of the move we took an extra guy and an extra truck to do the move. The extra man needed to complete the move was not charged for. We did call upon arriving at the job site informing you that the move would take more time due to there being more stuff than what we originally received on the phone survey.
All the packing supplies, stairs fee and elevator fee was included in your original estimate and we used extra wardrobe boxes that were not charged as well.
Your estimate went from about $803.00 to $1143.19 due to the extra hours it took for us to do the work. We brought more manpower a truck which was not charged for. We kept your same hourly rate for 3 men and 1 truck while using 4 men and 2 trucks.
We understand that it was a stressful day for you, you were not able to be at the move , we communicated as effectively as possible given that you sere not there and couldn't talk much on the phone.
There were bed parts missing (screws) and that was explained to your daughter, which made it impossible to pout the bed together correctly.
We have tried to contact you by email, text and phone calls to go over this and haven't received a reply.
Looking forward to hearing from you inn regards to this.
