I am sorry that you are frustrated and that this program did not work out for your son. I"m sure that he could have flourished in our programs if he had done the homework as assigned and showed up to class. However, this issue has already been resolved through the credit card
company(***). After evaluating all of the supporting documentation, the credit card company ruled in our favor. Our refund policy requires days notice prior to the start of class. This policy is signed and dated by you. Please see the attached documentation. This same policy is included in your monthly statements. Monthly statements are sent out to your preferred e-mail address. The class started in September and, as such, notice was required by July at the latest to receive a refund. As you stated, you provided notice in November of 2017. This was several months after the start of the class. Enrollment is for a week period starting in September and ending in June. We offer a monthly payment plan as a courtesy to our customers to help you easily pay off the entire tuition. Enrollment is not on a month-to-month basis. He was, and always is, welcome to return to the class which you have paid for once the remaining balance on the account is paid for. A copy of your most recent statement is attached

I am rejecting this response because: the Vendor refuses to admit their unethical and illegal manner of doing business. Under common law, a party to a contract needs new consideration -- something of legal value -- to modify a contract. The party obtains new consideration by negotiating with the other party to change the consideration on both sides of the contract.  I received no new consideration, and thus, the contract modification in invalid.  The vendor could have at least  informed me that their policy had changed in September and offered a FULL refund at that time.  Instead the vendor slipped me a completely changed policy at the last possible minute, expecting me not to read their deceptive "policy change" form, required me sign this along with other "required" forms before allowing my son to join the class.  I didn't expect an educational outfit to pull a fast one like this.   I expect greater transparency and honesty in customer relations.  Also, after I gave a fuller explanation to [redacted], they ruled in my favor on the July payment.  Proof is attached.  Shame on "Heroes Academy" for their bad behavior and unwillingness to admit their error.
Regards,
