foot traffic, wearing shoes in the home, pets, etc. all contribute to the amount of scratching that can occur. Extremely dark colors such as this floor also magnify the visibility of any scratches that may occur. We stand behind every manufacturer that we represent and the quality of the products that we sell. The scratching on this floor is not due to manufacturing defect and we consider the matter closed. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because there is absolutely NO REASON for my floors to look the way they do.  This is not my first experience with hardwood floors but it is by far a disappointing one and its sad that your company will do nothing to make it right.  Consumers and distributors need to be aware of the quality of flooring that is being sold.
