2014 had his serviceman washers in my single control shower control. My extensive experience in plumbing did not prepare me for what this serviceman had to accomplish. He did it well and didn't mind giving a homeowner instruction. I'll recommend.

Medals of America (MoA) representative US Army First-Sergeant (ret.) [redacted], who contacted me on 3/4/2016. We had a healthy dialogue.   He even pointed out a flaw in my request regarding order-of-precedence for mounting of battle clasps for my Grandfathers WW1 Victory Medal.   He seemed to have a good understanding of my original request and requirements of an authentic WW1 Victory Medal. After a short review of his reference, I agreed that he was correct regarding the order-of-precedence and I approved his recommended change.

I received the replacement medal on 3/7/2016.  It appears much more "normal" now - closer to expectation at least, suitable for display, although not ideal.   It is still not completely authentic in its construction. (I could elaborate but decline to do so).

I am still bitter about what MoA did to my Grandfather's original medal.   The hurt runs deep, knowing what my Grandfather suffered thru in his lifetime. He was permanently disabled during WW1, and he endured subsequent poverty disability, and limping in pain all his life, and what that medal meant to him.   He wore it with pride often in the DAV, VFW, and AFW legion meetings and events.  Indeed, it was displayed at his funeral.   Under better circumstances, there could have been more business between me and MoA.  While the replacement medal is adequate, my trust in MoA is not fully mended considering the damages done to a nearly 100 year family heirloom.

However I think MoA has made reasonable response in order to compensate me for the damages done.  I now consider the case closed.
