First off, please let me apologize to ** *** if she felt I acted in an unprofessional manner. Second, I would like to explain the dealership's position with regard to the complaint submitted on 5/11/2016, ID ***. ** *** took ownership of a *** *** *** SE FWD, with VIN ending in
***, on 4/5/On this date, she and her co buyer financed the vehicle and was fully aware the vehicle was safety inspected but based on year, was being sold "as is" without warranty. The vehicle was inspected and all safety related items for the State of CTDMV regulations were performed** *** was given an opportunity to test drive the vehicle before making her purchase and received a copy of all documentsThe drivability issues that ** *** describes would have been evident during our inspection, demonstration drive and immediately after delivery. Prior to the unfortunate accident she experienced, there was no conversation between ** ***, her co buyer, the sales consultant (*** ***) or the dealership with regard to the drivability issues or concernsIn fact, ** *** contacted *** ***, stating that she was involved in an accident and needed some guidance*** stated that during this conversation, ** *** mentioned that the vehicle was running well and until she attempted to drive away from the accident, she didn't notice anything wrong with the transmission/drivability. ** *** had her vehicle taken to *** *** during which a Service Advisor stated that it was his "opinion" that there were transmission/drivability issues with the vehicle prior to the accident.
