Hertrich of Milford Reviews (3)

Review: My name is [redacted], I am filing this on behalf of my father [redacted] who is 84 years old and probably will not pass his driving test in January. It seems this dealer ship took advantage of my father. On 10/27/14 a friend of my father drove him to the dealership, after a 4 hour visit my father signed 2 leases on a 2014 car. Not sure what happened but in his paperwork there were 2 leases. I was made aware of the transaction on the morning of 10/28/14. I asked my father the details of his deal and he went on to tell me that he signed a 2 year lease and it was going to cost 279+- month. I then asked what he was allowed for his trade in. It was well below market but my father was fine with it he thought after 24 months it was a far deal. I then went on to ask him what the buyout was on the lease and he did not know what I was asking him, did not understand that he was going to write a check at the end of the lease to keep the car, it was not what he understood was going to happen. I went on to explain to him that any lease that I have entered into was just that an agreement to a term and a turnback in or buyout at the end of the term. When I looked at his paperwork that is when I saw 2 leases? and also just as I had advised my father a purchase amount of an unreasonable amount of money if wanted to keep the car at the end of the term. My sister went to the dealership with my father on this same morning 10/28/14 to see if he could get out of the deal and get his 2010 lincoln MKX back with33k miles and give them back the 2014 lincoln mkx . dealership said they could not do anything, he was told and he even had someone with him. My sister's daughter knows the owner of the dealership and made a call so I have been told, Owner said nothing could be done.Desired Settlement: My father gets his car back and Hertrich gets there car back. cancel lease (s). Maybe agree to some type of reasonable cancellation fee.

UNFAIR TREATMENT TO ELDERLY SENIOR CITIZENS NEEDS TO STOP

Review: I told them up front that I ONLY wanted finance through wsfs or del one. He then ran my credit through del one and wells fargo. I signed off for del one. Next day found out I would not have employment after June 30, 2015. Called right away before anything could have been done with my sale since it was 8am. Told them my issue and was told nothing could be done. Knowing all they had to do was retract the sale. They went on and started the process. I spoke with wells Fargo and they said that I only had to ask hertrich to do that. I explained my problem and they didnt care. I dont even want my down payment back. I haven't taken the car it is still on the lot.Desired Settlement: All I want is the sale to be void. They can sell the car for more than what I was paying. They are not losing out on any money. I have more to lose. The car would be repode

Review: I purchased a used car from the Hertrich on or around October 30, 2013. I purchased a used 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with 119,000 miles. I was also given a 50/50 30 day warranty on the vehicle. The salesman of the sale was very pushy, he pressured me into buying this vehicle, and persuaded me that I was getting a good deal.

On delivery of this vehicle, the radio component did not work and the license plate of the previous owner was left in the trunk of the vehicle. I thought that this was strange, because if there was a pre-inspection done on this vehicle, the radio and tags should have been attended to. Within the first week after the purchase of the vehicle, the check engine light came on. I contacted the dealership immediately to set an apppointment. I took the vehicle in on 11/4/13 and it was found that it was an oxygen sensor that needed to be replaced. They replaced the oxygen sensor and sent me on my way. Approximately 2 days after the vehicle was repaired, the check engine light came on again and so did the tire pressure light. Also, the heat was not blowing hot air, as a heater should, but was blowing cold air. I again, contacted the dealership service department and made another appointment. I took the vehilce in for service and the check engine light issue turned into the vehicle needing a catalytic converter, a new tire pressure sensor and the heating system had to be flushed. Also note, I was never given any type of receipt for service rendered at this point for the 2 times I took my vehicle back. After about 2 or 3 days after these issues were repaired, the check engine light came on again. I contacted the dealer and spoke to Holly whom I dealt with through the entire process at this point and advise her. I made another appointment to have the vehicle checked out. At this point, we are now well into November and I've had to visit the dealer 3 times for repairs and twice for the same repair.

It is now March and the vehicle started making a very loud rough noise. I thought that this was strange being though that I've only had the vehicle for 4 months. I contacted the service department and advise them of the new issue. I was told by the warranty manger that after she spoke with the manager, the dealership was not interested in cooperating to help fix this repair. I felt that this was unreasonable, so I contacted Hertrich Nissan of Dover and made an appointment to have a test drive. I went on the test drive with a technician and it was told that there is an issue with the transmission shudder. I also contacted Hertrich of Milford to get copies of my repairs and to find out that there weren't even new tickets processed for each time that I visited the service department. On 1 occasion, I was even given a rental vehicle while my car was being repaired and the customer service rep doesn't even have that information on file as of March 28. (Red Ford PickUp Truck)

I contacted [redacted], the sales manager at Hertrich of Milford and advised him of the numerous repairs that have occured with this vehicle and the current issue at hand. He said that he had to pull my file and that once he looked over the file, he would get back in touch with me. I still have yet heard from [redacted].Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is very reasonable. I have lost faith in the product that was sold to me and I feel either a comparable trade would be fair or even a refund. Not once did the dealer offer me any type of resolution to assist with repair or repair cost.

Response:

This is to inform you that we contacted [redacted] to resolve her conflict April 12th. She came into the dealership and we were able to trade her out of her current vehicle. Based on her emails to us, she is very satisfied with the outcome
