I would highly recommend NOT depositing any money with this bank as they try to make it as difficult as possible to get it outAs trustee for my mother and father's estate, I wanted to cash in some CD'sI have done the same with other local banks without a problemHowever, at GS they wanted me to have my disabled and out of the country brother jump through hoops to resign a trusteeship he never even had due to his disability and being out of the countryThis was not a problem with them when I cashed the first in, so they now want to change the rulesAssuming I am ever able to satisfy their requests, there will be no further dealings with this institutionThe people I delt with were extremely condescending and could not explain to my satisfaction why I could not cash in CD's and why their rules had changed and were different than the other institutions which I had no problem with--***, ***, ***, and *** are by far more helpful and easier to deal with in helping me during this difficult time

The way this bank has been doing things, they are definitely going out of business in some timeThe way the website lis set up is socially incompetent and almost by a troll and not someone with enough experience on how to and what helps peopleThe online banking experience is frustrating for all people and it's almost like they don't want to do smooth business but rather *test* people and experiment things without fully thinking through on what is considered smooth sailing and competitive with other accredited banksIf they can't at least be as good as the average banks in this country, they should at at least be comparable to the standards set by the worst ones and learn from thoseAnd so far, I have not seen a bank this difficult, trollish and socially backwards as this one

I came over from the FTB location buyout in STL and I went to my nearest GSB location to find out what new information I needed and things I needed to get set up and make sure everything I had from Fifth Third had transferred over smoothly Well upon entering the location, everyone knew about the buyout, but no one knew anything about my account or what I was getting Another member helped me and told me that I was in a basic account and that I was getting no perks, when I have a letter from both institutions stating that I would be moved into an account that was very similar to the one I had and there would be very little changes
Long story short, I am charged everytime I touch another competitors ATM, I did not want bounce protection, I wanted automatic decline and yet they allowed businesses to just reach in my account and GSB happily took $for their fees, which I think is highway robbery Only ONE girl at all the locations I went to, to resolve my issues KNEW what they were doing and was able to help me At the same time the mobile capabilities is a joke, the time it takes for my direct deposit to come in is NOT midnight, but 9am when they open OH AND BY THE WAY, I was stuck in a drive thru for minutes because my card declined after receiving my money at 12amthat is sarcasm if you cant tell
I will NEVER go to this bank again for LACK of knowledge and deception I will not recommend this bank to anyone unless they have tons of money to throw away

It's a great bank: parking is close by; always a very friendly teller; never have to wait within 4-5 min for a teller who is customer oriented.; convenient to where we live; attractive building;

Wish we had higher interest rates like those in Norfolk at EVB.

This is the worst experience I\'ve had thus far with any bank. Prior, I would never spend time to log in and so forth to submit my opinion about anything but I had to about this bank. Do not waste your valuable time, and emotions because they will be tested with great southern bank. Notice no caps when I spell the banks name. Problem after problem, I wish 53bank would have never folded.

This bank has been a nightmare for us since they took over my 5/3 account. First I was on vacation in florid and told I could only swipe as credit for $150 a day. Now that I am back home keep in mind I run a business that requires me to make $3,000 purchases at one time. But they will not raise my access limit to my own cash! So I get declined which is embarrassing in itself. But requiring people to run in circles for me and trying to get my supplies with my own cash!!!!!! I have one more check to clear and I will move to another bank.

Perry, and the crews at Herzing offer exceptional reliability and quality of work. I now know why many of my neighbors have used this company over and over again. A+ all the way!

Do not get an auto loan from them!!! We don't have the best credit and needed a loan for a truck but we only got a loan for half of what the truck is worth. We were paying more each month but for I'm a bind and started paying a little late. Now we have a rude guy calling us talking of repo even though we aren't even a month late yet. We went a day or 2 over 30 days twice now and he informed us if it happens one more time they are going to repo!!! Every other auto loan would only do that if your over 60 to 90 days and that would be 2 to 3 payments behind. The guy won't even try to work with us. I've offered to pay over half on time and the rest late and he won't let me. Plus they been turning it in to my credit even chance they get so instead of trying to make my credit better I'm trashing it with them. I can't help that the economy isn't good and occasionally we don't get enough hours at our jobs.

When I speak with the tellers in person they are wonderful. I just had a horrible experience with someone over the phone. When I changed my address, they changed all of my mothers account addresses and then got the State wrong on the address as well. I was very clear on the phone when I changed my address which account it was for and what my new address was. When I called to clear it up, the man did not apologize and was very rude and condescending in the way he spoke to me. I found that odd considering they made a mistake. He pretended as though the mistake wasn't made on their part. A sincere apology would have been nice. Weird, because as I said, for years my family and I have had great service from them.

This bank is no good. On two separate occasions they have "lost" my deposits. Customer service is polite, but not helpful. With all the other banks in this area, you would be wise to make a different choice than great southern.
