I called and talked to Ryan before I drove 10 miles each way to get 209 primers. Said he had those primers. Drove the 10 miles and low and behold Ryan waited on me. He wouldn't come out from behind the counter like the other associates was doing, all he said was they are at eye level but they was not. Associate lied to get me there to buy something. I am writing this review to let people know of this shoddy salesmanship. Thinking about filing a complaint!
First, let's address facts. When you called, we did indeed have 209 primers. We had three packages. According to our sales records, those all sold to one customer the day you came to our store. Additionally, we will point out that we are a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer who has to have standard operating procedures for the security and safety of our customers and staff. Ryan was not at liberty to step out from behind the counter like the other sales associates were doing as you have referred. This is for a valid reason. In speaking with Ryan and reviewing our security video and audio recordings, Ryan did not try to get you to buy something you did not come to our store to purchase. Final fact to point out, if a customer makes a request for us to hold certain items back for them until they can make it to our store then we will hold items for that business day without any form of payment to secure the item.
Now, addressing how this could have been a far better experience for you, Mr. First and foremost, if you truly felt that any of the abovementioned instances occurred and your feelings about your shopping experience with us was dulled then we would have happily engaged in a dialogue with you if you would have asked for the owner or manager. All the facts we just mentioned above could have been clarified to you and our general reasoning why Ryan, at that time, was not able to leave from behind the counter. We are not at liberty to divulge our security procedures (hopefully for obvious reasons) but we would have been able to inform you of this fact and then got another staff member to help you, or assited you our self. The firearms industry, as a whole, was never ready for COVID-19, the civil problems are country is currently facing, and other severe supply shortages with never-seen-before demand. As an example, we have seen pallets of ammunition sell out in mere minutes. All inventory right now moves at a fast rate in this industry. Consequently, if you decide to shop with us again and call to see if we have something, please ask us to set it back for you if you are coming in that day to pick it up. Everyone here is more than happy to do that for you, but please understand that we only hold items for that business day. This will hopefully help you not feel aggravated about driving 10 miles to find the item sold, especially during times like these. Finally, before posting negative reviews and/or filing complaints, please communicate with us here at our business. We are very understanding, reasonable, and fair people. We feel that doing good business (as a retailer and also as a consumer ourselves) must require commuication and that helps increase the satisfcation all parties feel when dealing with each other. We could have easily told you that we had 3 more packages of 209 primers showing up today (7/9/2020) and would have gladly permitted you to reserve some or all of them. Without giving us a chance to converse with you about your assertions and you just throwing allegations on the Revdex.com review board, we feel that we were not given a fair chance to do BETTER BUSINESS with you.
If you would like to further discuss this matter, then we invite you to come to our store during our business hours and ask for either Gennifer or Phil.
