HEW Federal Credit Union

Review: To make a long story short, I sent in a request to have my account closed 2 months ago. I was told that there was no record that I ever had an account. A month ago, I sent a letter to the supervisory committee about the issue and received no response. I want the money that was in the account before it was mysteriously closed (approximately $150.00) and more information about how it was closed without my authorization.Desired Settlement: A check for the remaining balance I had in the account (approximately $150.00).

Review: I was a member of this credit union years ago. I defaulted on a loan, it was sent to collections. I made a payment arrangement with the collection agency. The debt somehow ended up going back to the original creditor. They continue the payment arrangement, sent me a letter in the mail saying we had a repayment agreement but did not include the amount or due date. I asked for a letter containing this information, they said "they don't do that". I asked for receipt, they said "they don't send receipts". I asked for a settlement on the account they said "they don't do that". I asked for a statement of my account, when I had an account with them I had money going into my checking account that they took out and applied to the balance, I wanted to make sure that all payments were applied and that the balance was correct, they refused. I've sent everything to them in writing, no response. If I stop paying it would look bad on my credit file. I had a title company contact them and they did not respond.

I knew I owed them so I set the payment plan. I contacted them. They did not contact me. They've been stalemate for some reason, maybe malice because I filed claim against them with DLLR years ago.Desired Settlement: I would like to have this debt declared invalid.

Review: This so called credit union is the worst of all banks when it comes to customer service. You can hardly reach anyone on the phone. You get through at all and all you get is a voicemail that tells you someone is on the phone and you should leave a message. How can a whole bank or organization have just one line to reach them and no one is anwering the phones? It's the most fustrating thing I have ever seen. Someone is having an emergency and cant reach their bank. The entire staff of that bank need to be fired and new people with friendly customer service attitude hired. I dont even know why they call themselves a bank. It should another one of those mum and pop stores with no mission whatsoever.If you're considering doing business with these people, please go to somewhere else like another great credit union where you can actually reach people on the phone and talk to actual people who can help you solve your problems without having to go into the bank. HEWFCU IS ABSOLUTELY THE VERY WORST OF THEM ALL. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK.. PERIOD. JUST A BUNCH OF IS AND NON ENTITIES WHO DONT KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE REALLY MEAN.Desired Settlement: OPEN UP MORE PHONE LINES AND HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO ANSWER PHONES AND HELP ASSIST MORE CLIENTS AND CUSTOMERS. THAT'S ALL. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY TO RUNNING A FINANCIAL BUSINESS EMPIRE AND THIS CHEAP AS CREDIT CALLED HEWFCU LACK IT IN ITS ENTIRETY.
