HH Rarities Consulting Reviews (2)

Review: Has anyone dealt with HH Rarities Coins or [redacted], I've placed 2 orders, 1 last year & one last week, and both times they screwed me - ###-###-####. Even their email on their business card is bad - had to go on their website to get the correct email ([redacted]).

They are located in [redacted]

Anyway, my latest story is:

I place an order for silver (money upfront - this is NOT uncommon) - 1957 through 1963 NGC Franklin Half Proof Dollars. All of these coins was to be proof 66. [redacted] talked me into buying a 1956 type 1 NGC Proof Franklin Half Dollar. The going price on the NGC site was $600 for a proof 67. He was going to charge me only $400 to make up for the last screww up. Instead, he sent me a PGCS PR 66. This coin, by the way, is only worth $210. I do NOT even collect PCGS coins - only NGC. In fact, he included a NGC storage box.

Upon phoning him for the mistake, he claimed that they needed to make a profit and that I could not sent it back since he ([redacted]) refused to give me a return number.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT I CAN DO OR ANOTHER SITES THAT I CAN POST THE ABOVE INFORMATION?

Review: There are several issues with this business.First, they have horrible direct customer service including not returning calls and yelling at the customer over the phone.Second, they do not ship high dollar merchandise securely. They only use [redacted] with not instructions so merchandise is left on doorstep in clear view where anyone can walk up and take the merchandise. No signature is required for delivery.ThirdThey either do not keep any financial records of purchases, are unwilling to provide them when requested or charge people fraudulently for merchandise. They claim only three transactions were made yet bank records show nine transactions where they were paid with a total value approximately three times the amount the records they have show. The other vendor that was contacted for similar transactions cooperated with records access with no problem. They were polite, timely in their response and provided access to all transactions. O this doesn't appear to be an issue of security or identity but just unprofessional behavior at best or possibly even fraud.Desired Settlement: We are only asking to have a full and accurate copy of transactions provided with the detail (name/description) of each purchase made by our senior family member.
