WHEN [redacted] PURCHASED HER VEHICLE IT WAS EXPLAINED TO HER THAT THERE WAS A REBUILT SALVAGE TITLE, THIS DID NOT DETER HER FROM WANTING TO PURCHASE THE VEHICLE. WE ALSO EXPLAINED TO HER THAT THE TAX,TITLE AND DOC FEES WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE DOWN PAYMENT THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM...

SEPERATELY. WE TOOK CARE OF THE TITLEWORK FOR HER AND CALLED HER TO TELL HER THAT HER MEMO TITLE WAS HERE FOR HER TO PICK UP OR I COULD MAIL IT TO HER. SHE SAID SHE WOULD PICK IT UP. WHEN, AFTER A FEW DAYS, SHE DIDN'T COME IN, I MAILED IT TO HER. HER BOYFRIEND SEEMED TO BE VERY UPSET' THAT SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT HIM BEING WITH HER. SHE HAD COME IN WITH HER FRIENDS. HE CAME TO THE LOT AND WAS BEING VERY RUDE AND CONFRONTATIONAL. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES. AS FAR AS THE TRANSMISSION GOES, WHEN WE GOT IT BACK HERE IT WAS DRIVEN BY OUR MECHANICS AND THE OWNER AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. THE CUSTOMER HAD SOMEONE TO TRY TO REMOVE THE AIR FILTER AND THEY BROKE THE AIR BOX WHICH MAY CAUSE IT TO RUN ROUGH AND MAY SEEM TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANNY. THE CUSTOMER ALSO BROKE OUT THE BACK WINDOW, WHICH THEY HAVE NOT OFFERED TO PAY FOR. SHE WAS ALLOWED 20 DAYS IN WHICH TO GET HER VEHICLE BACK.WHICH IS ACCORDING TO OHIO REPO LAWS. WE ASKED HER TO PAY THE PAST DUE BALANCE PLUS HER LATE FEE OF $20.00,RECOVERY FEE OF $25.00, PLUS TWO SECURITY DEPOSITS (2 PAYMENTS OF 5200.00 EACH) FOR A TOTAL OF $645.00 TO GET HER VEHICLE BACK. THIS ALL WITHIN OUR RIGHT TO DO ACCORDING TO OHIO REPO LAWS. JUST AS AN ASIDE, THE OWNERS WIFE DROVE TIS VEHICLE FOR OVER A YEAR WITH NO PROBLEMS AND SHE HAS CHILDREN THAT SHE HAS HAD TO TRANSPORT ALSO.

AFTER SHE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, [redacted] TOLD HER SHE COULD WORK AT THE LOT WHENEVER HE NEEDED HER . THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BUYING THE VEHICLE.WHEN SHE CAME IN AND TOLD US SHE WAS PREGNANT AND COULDN'T BE AROUND CHEMICALS, WHICH WE USE FOR DETAILING VEHICLES, THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THAT WE WOULD HAVE NEEDED HER FOR. ALL OTHER POSITIONS WERE FILLED AT THE TIME.I HAVE ENCLOSED A COPY OF THE PREVIOUS LETTER AND COPIES OF REPAIR ORDERS THAT SHOW WHAT WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS PROOF THAT THE REPAIRS WERE DONE TO THE VEHICLE.WE HAVE SINCE REPLACED 'THE BACK WINDOW THAT WAS BROKEN WHEN WE REPOED THE VEHICLE, AND INSTALLED A MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AS WAS NOTED IN A PREVIOUS COMMUNICATION.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is my response as to why I rejected to companies response:I had in fact, went in with my children not friends, and was told of the rebuilt salvaged title AFTER I had handed the the money for the down payment and was halfway through signing the paperwork. When I had asked what that meant, he and his secretary had told me that it didn't affect the value of the car whatsoever. My husband had no idea how to fix the vehicle, and that is why I drove it like it was. My husband is not mechanically savy, and we hadn't even opened the hood other than to check the oil. For them to now say that we in fact broke the vehicle, is an insult and is absurd! And he sold me the vehicle without headlights and front blinkers, so obviously the vehicle his wife was driving wasn't taken care of properly before selling it to me. All I wanted was for the vehicle to be fixed. I actually had tried to return the vehicle the next business day, and he would NOT allow me to. I had given them $740 for the tax,title and doc fees, and told them I needed a little more time to pay my payment because that had left me completely broke. The owner, [redacted] had agreed and also too me that he would allow me to work off my payment by working 4 days out of the month at his lot. However, regardless of the many times I had called and tried to work, they kept giving me the run around and eventually ended up ignoring me.  The company needs to take responsibility for their actions.
