Ruined dress and didn’t even cleaned properly
Not only the dress came back with a small rip, also had a bunch of black dirt, looked like tar. It was sent back and they cleaned it but still came back with as much dirty as there was when I first took it in. I still had to pay for them to ruin my dress. It was the fist and the last time, I will never use them again!

Review: I brought 4 tops to Hi 5 Cleaners in Metairie to be dry cleaned. When I got there to drop them off, the employee at the counter and I went over each item reviewing how they were to be cleaned. I also inspected every garment for defects prior to the cleaning (there were NONE) all four of the tops were brand new, purchased within the month and each worn once. Fast forward to me going to pick them up, I noticed on my 2 silk tops there was what to me what looked like pulling. Also I noticed one of my others tops had been laundered vs dry cleaned as requested (care tag had the option for either, I preferred dry cleaning to avoid shrinkage). I immediately showed the counter employee the pulls in the two silk tops and she immediately went to get the owner, Greg. Greg comes out and proceeds to tell me, this had nothing to do with their dry cleaning it must have happened when I wore them- I proceeded to tell him, no it did not I reviewed each item carefully when I dropped them off with you and they were free from any sort of defect/ pull ect. Then he proceeds to tell me this is a manufacture defect (which I knew was untrue). I was trying to get some sort of resolution from him, either try and fix the pulls or compensate me for the tops since they were brand new. He got very defensive with me and proceeded to raise his voice at me. I felt threatened, so I took my garments and left. As I hit the door I hear him yelling to his employees not to accept any more of my garments that my business is not welcome there. I immediately took my 2 tops to 3 other dry cleaning professionals and they each said the same thing- the pulls in the silk are what they referred to as a TWIST PULL. This twist pull occurs when the cleaner does not follow proper protocol by placing the silk garments in a mesh bag.Desired Settlement: These two silk blouses are $158 each currently at Lilly Pulitzer. Since he proceeded to make me feel threatened while I was there and there was no offer or resolution made and since my business is no longer welcome there per Greg, I would like him to replace both tops.

Review: On January 3, 2015 my husband and I dropped off three suits and one tuxedo at Hi-5 Cleaners for alterations. The manager, [redacted], stated that the alterations would be completed on January 9th by 4pm. This was after me explaining that I needed the tuxedo for the Endymion Coronation Ball on Saturday, January 10th. He wrote the date and time on the alteration receipts and I pre-paid for everything. When my husband arrived on January 10th to pick up the clothing, [redacted] stated that the alterations were not completed and had not even been started. He said that their seamstress was sick and had not been able to work. At no point did the business ever attempt to contact and inform me that the alterations would be delayed. I would have gladly taken them somewhere else, as we needed the tuxedo for our event. I called [redacted] and was offered no apology, instead he insisted that he could not control who gets sick. I told him I understand things happen, but that he could have contacted me to let me know. He stated that they had over 40 customers needing alterations and that they could not call every single one to inform them of the delay. Upon hearing this, I asked [redacted] to have the owner call me. The owner, [redacted], called me on the morning of January 12, 2015. He, too, offered no consolation and went as far as to say that we were informed of the delays from the beginning. This was a complete fabrication of the truth, and I still have the receipt with [redacted]s hand written date of when we were to pick up our items.Desired Settlement: The ideal would have been for them to accept that they were wrong. An apology!

Review: I picked up an Ivanka Trump Black and pink dress that was dry cleaned @ Hi 5 Cleaners on approx. 7/3/15(Ticket #159041). When I put the dress on the morning of 7/23/15 I noticed black spots on the dress and a tear in the waist area. I immediately brought the dress back to the cleaners. When I arrived the female attendant pulled my information up on the computer by the ticket attached to the dress. I told her the dress needed to be cleaned again to get the spots out and the seam had to be repaired. She then left the counter when a man approached. I explained to him the problem and he said I would have to sign a release form to have the dress cleaned as he was not sure it could be fixed. I told him he had already cleaned the dress and I was not dropping it off the first time. He then checked the tag and said it said dry clean and I replied yes that is why I brought the dress here. I showed him the tear and at that time noticed a second tear on the other side. He said they did not do it and I must have when I wore the dress. He then said I should call the manufacturer to tell them the dress was poorly made and should not have been dry cleaned. I asked him if he was suggesting I call Ivanka Trump and he said he didn't know but maybe the place I bought the dress. I told him it was bought in NY at Century 21 and I would not be able to do that. I explained to him I just wanted him to clean the dress again and fix it. I asked him if the dress couldn't be fixed was he going to refund me my money and he said "No". The female attendant bought the release form over and he said no never mind. At this point I was relieved he was going to correct the damage he did to my dress and a release was not needed. He then pushed the dress towards me and said he was not going to do anything. I replied "What are you saying? You aren't doing to clean and repair my dress?" The man said "NO". I said "So you are not going to do anything to resolve this issue?" He replied "That's right." I left and am filing this complainDesired Settlement: I feel if you are a professional in the cleaning business you should know what clothes need to be cleaned and what should be washed. If the cleaners knew two tone colors would bleed on one another the dress should have been cleaned differently or rejected when dropped off. I feel the cleaners needs to try and clean the dress to remove the spots and repair the rips in the seams. If this doesn't work I should be reimbursed the $134 the dress cost me along with the cost spent to clean the dress.
