We did inform Mr. [redacted] the vehicle had transmission' cooler lines that were leaking, he did not approve these repairs, therefore not completed.
There was no work completed on the transmission, nor were any fluids drained from the transmission.

To Whom it May Concern:
RE: Complaint #[redacted]
At Hi-Country Buick/GMC, we reviewed Mr. [redacted] concern.  We do understand his frustration regarding the headrests and sun visors and apologize for the delay.   The order has now been placed and we will install the parts once they arrive.
A trained technician diagnosed Mr. [redacted] vehicle today to address his other concerns.  The technician stated there was physical damage underneath the vehicle.  He stated this would be caused by extreme wear and tear due to rough driving habits.
Mr. [redacted] purchased the vehicle 8.29.13.  We did compare the suggested repairs we found today versus the Used Vehicle Inspection conducted prior to sale.  None of the issues were diagnosed prior to sale.
We did offer Mr. [redacted] a 20% discount if he chose to move forward with any of the suggested repairs.
Mr. [redacted] informed us today, he would like to see if he could purchase a different vehicle, but would like to wait until the headrest and visors arrive.
If you would like any additional information, please feel free to contact me, thank you.
Sincerely,

"Nobody Beats a Hi-Country Deal… Nobody!"

I am rejecting this response because: The response from Hi-Country is incorrect. The Service dept. informed me that the transmission cooler lines were rubbing and getting thin. I asked if they were leaking and was told no. I asked since they were not leaking if they could insulate them to keep them from rubbing through and was told by the service dept. that they didn't insulate things, they replaced them. At that point I said not to worry about the lines and I would deal with them later. The transmission was full of fluid when Hi-County received my car but was bone dry when I received it back. The car still has the original transmission cooler lines that do not leak. The fluid did not leak out or evaporate and Hi-Country was the only one that had the transmission out of the car prior to telling me my car was finished and releasing it back to me. No leaks, no evaporation, where else could the fluid have gone? I would hope you could admit the mistake and make it right as a reputable company would.  [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because the waver they are submitting has nothing to do with the transmission that they drained. In the previous response from HI Country they stated that they informed me that the tranny cooler lines were leaking, which is a total falsehood. I was informed that the lines were rubbing and they were NOT leaking and still are NOT leaking. The transmission was drained of its fluid by Hi-Country causing it to be damaged. This waver that I was forced to sign was to get my dismantled Corvette  put back toget her rather than taking it home in pieces. It sure is odd that I was told the engine swap was no problem until I declined to pay another 3000.00 for parts that I was told was needed but we're not. All of the sudden a Gen. 4 LS Performance engine was not compatible with a car that a Gen. 4 Performance engine came out of...It is in fact 100% compatible AND the tech. that stated this needs to go back to training. Regardless ,  the issue that I am, and have been trying to get resolved is the TRANSMISSION! It went into Hi-Country full of fluid and left empty of fluid. The car does not leak, it has the original cooler and lines which do not leak. This complaint has nothing to do with the engine other than the transmission as drained when they had the car disassembled . I do not know how to make this point any clearer. Hi-Country needs to own up to their mistake and replace my transmission .

[redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the response. If the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]

In our response to Mr. [redacted]'s letter, we reiterated that prior to the engine replacement, it was made explicitly clear the engine he requested was not compatible with the vehicle, therefore would not be covered under warranty and could also cause further damage to the vehicle.  We were also...

very specific we would not add any fluids or start the motor upon installation.  This information was detailed in the waiver Mr. [redacted] signed and also acknowledged in his letter.  We do feel the expectations of the possible detriments were communicated effectively, which included a signed waiver by the customer.
