There is no way on earth we will supply this business with another credit card numberWe have contacted the Providence RI Attorney General's office and have filed a deceptive Business acts complaintWe were also directed by the A.Goffice to file the same deceptive Business acts complaint with the RI Division of Motor Vehicles as they handle the issues with Auto Dealers in RIWe have asked this deceitful auto dealer, Hi Tech Auto of Providence RI, to send us a check, many times, and they continue to find excuses, as shown in this communication with the Revdex.com, to not pay my son back.At this point my main goal is to let others know about this company and allow the proper authorities to investigate this company's fraudulent, deceptive and frankly disgusting business practicesI can assure you I will not rest until this company is properly tagged as thieves and everyone knows about themI TRULY HOPE THE $HI TECH AUTO SALES, ALSO KNOWN AS Caprice Auto Sales Inc, FRAUDULENTLY STOLE FROM A YEAR OLD BOY'S CREDIT CARD WAS WORTH GETTING EXPOSED FOR THE FILTHY COMPANY THEY TRULY ARE.. We due plan on filing suit once the AGO and DMV have completed their investigations

On June 25, 2015, Mr*** *** purchased a *** *** *** from Hi-Tech Auto SalesOn July 1, Mr*** returned with the vehicle not in the same performance as of the delivery dateThe motor was making loud knocking sounds resembling a large diesel truckIt was found that
the pistons inside the motor had been fully deteriorated and would need a new motor in order to obtain proper performanceThe vehicle was taken to the closest *** dealership to be examined by ASE certified mechanics as well an ASE certified master mechanic and that is how the verdict was metInitially, what sparked much debate is how the car returned on July 1, with more oil than when it leftBecause if our establishment had put too much oil in, the car would of seized to function properly immediately as Mr*** left the premise on June 25thAlso pistons are located in the the heart of the engine making them extremely difficult to blow unless provoked with excessive abuse, for example, driving the car over recommended speeds for a duration and not allowing the engine cool downThe temperature of the motor for the pistons to blow would of in fact burned oil leaving less that what was actually insideMr*** does indeed have a 30-day warranty covering the powertrain and emissions and in other any circumstances, Hi-Tech Auto would be responsible for the repairsHowever, we believe that we should not be responsible for the consequences of our customer's actions, if that is the case in this circumstanceThe matter is still under investigation and we will follow any and all proceedings set forth by the State of Rhode IslandIf it is set forth by the state, that we are at fault, Hi-Tech Auto Sales will refund Mr***'s money or labor the vehicle's repairs, at his preferenceMr***'s frustrations are understandable and we are cooperating efficiently and effectively to resolve this matter

In response to complaint ***, we have attached the bill of sale, warranty buyer's guide and official state inspection report from the sale dateAll these documents signify that we provided the vehicle in proper form to Ms*** and she opted out of any warranties provided by our establishmentAs required by the State of Rhode Island we have followed all policies regarding this transaction

The $should never have been withdrawn from *** card in the first place and it could have been easily credited back the same way Hi Tech pulled it outThe owner pulled out the $from *** card, with out *** present, signing for anything or even purchasing anythingI left many messages at the Hi Tech office and on the owners cell phone along with text messagesThe owner did respond several times via text only, but always had an excuse why the money was not returnedHe was not unreachable, just not willing to delete the transaction or refund the money. We live in Billerica MA and Hi Tech Auto is in Providence RI which is over an hour awayHi Tech Auto was asked to simply send us a refund check of the $100, made out to *** ***To date we have not received any refund. In closing, if Hi Tech Auto wants to drive an hour to Billerica MA to pay *** back, I would be glad to accept thatOtherwise he can simply send out a check like asked previously or I had also offered Hi Tech to pay *** by credit card as my company accepts credit cardsoptions are available for Hi Tech Auto to make this right

On May 19th, 2017, Ms*** *** came to our dealership interested in the *** ** we were offering for saleShe expressed great interest and wanted to purchase the vehicle on site and put a deposit of $checkFurther terms of the agreement were that she wanted the car to be ready
for Monday or earliest as possibleIn order to deliver the vehicle at the standards that we strive for, our dealership had to detail the vehicle entirely as well and thoroughly inspect and service the vehicle to pass the mandatory Rhode Island emissions and safety inspection processOur dealership worked diligently to meet the deadline for Monday per Ms***'s request but when Monday arrived she still was not ready to move forward with the saleIt was not until following Friday, that Ms*** stated that she has no more interest in purchasing the vehicle because she did not have the required funds to pay off the vehicleAs stated on our deposit contracts, which Ms*** signed and dated "The customer is aware that if he or she decides not to purchase the above mentioned vehicle in compliance to the dealer specified agreement(s), for whatever reason, some if not all, of the deposit can and will be held by Hi-Tech." This was thoroughly explained to Ms*** before she signed and printed her name on the contractHi-Tech Auto Sales' deposit policies are more than fair for both customers and seller because if the customer is no longer interested in the sale, the dealership only re-compensates itself for the work done to each vehicle and nothing more, we then refund the remaining balance to the customerBecause Ms*** only wanted to put a $deposit, all of the deposit must compensate the new RI inspection($60), full vehicle detail ($70), not to mention the opportunity loss for holding the vehicle off for sale while Ms*** decided if she still wanted to purchase the vehicle or notHi-Tech Auto Sales respected Ms***'s wishes throughout that entire transaction and politely explained to her that retaining the deposit check was more than fair for the type of situation that occurredWe completely understand Ms***'s frustrations, however we believe that our company has handled this manner in the most effective position possible and will respect any decisions by the Revdex.comThank you for your time

In response to Ms***'s claims, she states directly on the rebuttable, that she was to bring the remaining balance of the vehicle the followingSaturday, therefore agreeing to purchase the vehicle and confirming our stanceIt has been noted, that our offices contacted Ms*** multiple times regarding the vehicle, after she stated she would like the delivery of the vehicle as soon as possible, at her initial arrival to the dealershipOur representatives always carefully review the agreement of the deposit contract and it entirety with the consumer before any customers sign the contractMs*** also provides accusation about our business when we did nothing but provided her with the same customer service that all our customers deserveMs*** has all the right to report to whomever higher authority she prefers, however please let it be noted that our business has been continuously growing for the past decade and our policies provide the best interest for both consumer and business alikeIf any of the accusations from Ms*** were true, we most likely would not still be expanding to this day and most likely be nonexistentIf needed, our dealership has no problem forwarding a copy of Ms***'s signed deposit contract stating the groundwork of the agreementWe apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and will kindly oblige to any ruling set forth by the Revdex.comThank you for your time

Please feel free to contact our office phone number a* *** We will then ask for the card number to submit the refund toUpon affirming the refund was successful, one of our representative will email you a picture of the credit slip to confirm the transaction is completedPlease note that the standard time for the refund to appear on the card account is to business daysThank you

Upon review of the complaint, Hi-Tech Auto Sales deeply apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused to Mr. [redacted]. The situation is that is that the owner of our establishment was the main point of contact between the customer and our business, no other phone numbers, emails or points of...

contact were exchanged. Due to an family emergency the owner was required to fly out of the country not being able to utilize any communication devices, therefore portraying that he was ignoring any contact from the customer. Our offices were not aware of any complaint while the owner was absent otherwise proper action would have occurred. Upon his return to the business location, he immediately instructed the customer to come to the dealership's main office in order to verify the credit card that the $100 deposit was taken from, in order to confirm that the deposit was returned by both parties via signing the credit refund slip. The customer ordered our dealership to mail a check for $100 due to the distance that they have to travel to reach our dealership. Hi-Tech Auto Sales cannot guarantee that a check will reach it's appropriate recipient nor cause any delays in the refund, so it is imperative that the customer comes to the dealership so that both parties can verify that the deposit was refunded. Our dealership holds no animosity towards Mr. [redacted] and would like this conflict to be resolved just as urgently as Mr. [redacted]. Thank you for your time. [redacted] The vehicle was sold to me unsafe. I will be proceeding on obtaining a lawyer if the issue cant be resolved. I do not want to have take the matter to court. All I want is the $520 I had to pay to have the car repaired. I was promised the car was in good running condition when purchased however it was not. So regardless of the documents there was a verbal promise that this was a good car when in fact it is not. That is not even to begin to pay for all the problems with this car. There is over $2000 worth of work that needs to be done on top of that and I have documents to show that. The check engine light came on the day I picked up the car and the dealer has never taken responsibility for the fact that I was sold a lemon.

I have repeatedly told HI-tech auto that I did not put extra oil in my car after I purchased it from them because I know that they are supposed to check all that before the car leaves the lot. I also did not abuse the car in the few days that I did have it. I do not think it is fair that a company I purchased a car from is putting the blame on me when I only had the car for a couple days and it broke down. I believe that Hi-tech auto should pay for the labor for the car to be fully fixed and for me to have a warranty on the car so that I know the work will last and I could fully trust the work done. I am highly disappointed on how I have been treated by this company and I have been without a car a lot longer then I wanted to be because it is still at their shop. The business got a second opinion on the engine last week and they would not let me keep the print out of the opinion because they did not want me to give it to my lawyer. Every time I talk to Hi-tech auto they try to say the only thing they will do is make a deal for me to pay 800 dollars more to get the vehicle fixed. I do hope you can help me in getting my car I purchased to get fixed so I can move on from this and never go back to their shop again. Thank you

I was suppose to bring the rest of the money that Saturday. Something came up. What makes you think that it is ok to have a car inspected, cleaned with just $100 deposit? Mind you the owner was using the car. I just ask for my money back. This dealership is known for doing insurance fraud. I have reported them already. I will be giving names of all the customers involved with the fraud. [redacted] the car salesman never was told by me to have he car ready.

We, Hi-Tech Auto Sales & Rental have received complaint #[redacted] by Ms. [redacted] and would respectfully request that our stance be reviewed to solve this matter. On January 31, 2015 Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2001 [redacted] from our establishment for the price of $4,900. After a few days,...

we mainly spoke to Ms. [redacted]’ boyfriend, they had taken the vehicle to another mechanic for evaluation and he suggested to replace several sensors in the transmission. Ms. [redacted]’ boyfriend provided the parts which we installed at no charge. Several weeks later, another malfunction occurred with the transmission. We sympathize with Ms. [redacted]’ situation however it was the purchaser’s decision to rely on an independent party to inspect the car and we honored their opinions and fixed their suggestions with no adverse response. Ms. [redacted] placing all accountability on our establishment for an error that we didn’t identify or wasn’t giving a chance to identify should be taken into consideration in this review. If she had let our trained mechanics inspect the vehicle originally we could have better prepared for such malfunctions and resolve all matters accordingly. In addition, this sale was deemed a “AS-IS SALE” and no warranty of any kind would be provided to Ms. [redacted]. We explained the terms of the sale multiple times as well a printed the term “AS-IS SALE” on three different forms on the paperwork package, in all capital letter and in a different ink, as it is regulated by the Dealer Commission of Rhode Island. Originally the vehicle was listed at approximately $6,500 dollars, but would have included a 30-Day Powertrain warranty and several minor repairs. Upon further negotiation Ms. [redacted] and company opted out of all warranties and agreed to purchase the vehicle as is with no warranty. If she had agreed to purchase the the vehicle for the original asking price, Hi-Tech Auto Sales would have covered all expenses for the malfunction she would of experienced. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause to Ms. [redacted] and her family.Hi-Tech Auto Sales can provide a purchase agreement, odometer statement, buyers guides and any other documentation from the date of purchase requested by the Revdex.com to rectify this matter.
