Review: Hi-Tech Coatings has a division called Uretek Northeast. They were contracted to inject expanding foam under my driveway and along the front of the house to fill voids created over time via erosion. There was going to be 3 benefits from this process. 1. Stop my driveway from sagging where it meets the garage footer. 2. Fill the voids to stop any water flow from making the voids larger. 3. Compact the surrounding soil to reduce the likely hood of destabilization. This injection was paid in full.
When the work was performed we noticed at least three places in the unfinished portion of the basement where the expanding foam broke through the cinder block foundation wall. This is a critical foundation wall. Since the entire front of the house (house sits on a hill - daylight basement) had the injection, it is not clear weather other parts of the foundation wall are broken from this injection process.
After the injection when I pointed it out, it was stated that the wall must have previously been weak and it was not the fault of the injection company. If I would have known that this foundation wall was in danger of being compromised or broken, I would have never agreed to have this procedure done to the front of my house.
After many attempts over the past 12 months, Hi-Tech - Uretek refuses to address and correct the foundation situation. These issues and concerns of mine have been raised many times by email over the past 12 months with no resolution.
It is unclear whether any of the paid objections were met since the driveway sagging is getting worse and structural foundation of my house is compromised. Also, water currently leaks through the foundation where broken when it rains.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be to remove the injection material from the front of the house, inspect the wall and replace as necessary. This would involve digging a trench along the front of the house, removing the material and inspecting/repairing any damage to the wall caused by this process.
