Hi-Tech Towing

Review: On September 6th, 2014 at 2 pm my father [redacted] contacted [redacted] for a tow due to his brakes seizing on his 95 Ford pick up truck. They stated that a company would be there shortly and the cost of the tow would be 69 dollars. That being said the company did not arrive until after 10 pm. My father had recently lost his spleen so becomes ill easily and was forced to sit with his vehicle in a horrible storm and ended up hospitalized due to becoming sick. Upon arrive the gentleman was having some troubles attaching the vehicle, my father attempted to assist but the driver declined. My father did not arrive to the shop where services would be done until 12 midnight. As the gentleman released the vehicle he states, "You have no brakes." The truck was towed due to seized brakes. It wasn't until that time the driver stated the invoice is $255. Which my father was not communicated until after the service was rendered. Then the driver stared well if you can't pay we will impound you vehicle. So alas he was forced to pay. Upon inspection of the gentlemen at [redacted] he stated that due to improper towing they ripped out the rear braking system. Which was not a concern previously. I contacted [redacted] at Hi-tech and he stated he would contact the service station to discuss payment for the repair. He originally wanted to tow it to his location for repairs but we were not comfortable due to the extreme poor service previously. So I have contacted several people at Hi-tech to receive a refund for the repairs due to [redacted] never calling to make payments. I eventually got in touch with a [redacted] who agreed to have a check ready for pick. Upon calling to ensure it would be available and now still 3 months later I'm chasing them for their mistakes. I have records of all the calls placed with them so there is a record of non return of communication.Desired Settlement: I would like the 377.20 for the repairs to the vehicle which includes tax but not labor. We would also like a refund for the towing price difference from the original quote given which is $188.
