The product in reference is the #38223 – 15” Seed Tube Feeder. This is an all plastic feeder that retails from $4.99 - $7.99 each depending on the retail location it is purchased from. This product has no warranty or replacement parts; this was explained to [redacted] in emails. We requested...

photos of the product to review what had occurred, because if the issue had been due to a product component missing or a component not working correctly on the feeder; we would replace that. When a product has been damaged by general use or critters (such as squirrels, raccoons, bear, etc), we do not replace those products. If a replacement part is needed, depending on the item we may have a component available for purchase. Below is an outline of the email exchanges and also photos of the product this consumer sent to us. We resolved this as best we could based on our standard policy. November 19, 2015 – consumer [redacted] sent an email to our general email box requesting to get her money back for 2 feeders she purchased that did not last the summer November 20, 2015 – [redacted] Hiatt responded on behalf of Hiatt Manufacturing: “Dear [redacted], The best option for you is to return them to the store you purchased them from.” November 20, 2015 – [redacted]’s response: Hi [redacted], It's been over 30 days & they told me to contact your company so can you please replace the two? If not can you please send my emails to a manager? Please help. Thanks in advance November 20, 2015 – Hiatt Manufacturing’s Response: [redacted], Thank you for your email. This particular feeder does not have any warranty and its very typical that these lower cost, all plastic feeders will be destroyed by squirrels or other critters throughout the year. If feeders are not cleaned regularly, they can also deteriorate. Your email does not describe what is wrong with the feeders. If you’d like to send photos, I can review further. February 5, 2016 – Photos were sent from [redacted] – Photos show as I had suspected from my email response on November 20, 2015 that they were destroyed by a critter of some sort and the components chewed. February 11, 2016 – [redacted] emailed:  Hello what kind of nonsense is this because you said you would help & for me to send you pictures & do & you don't even acknowledge my emails nor do you forward them to someone that does want to help! February 17, 2016 – Hiatt Manufacturing’s response: [redacted], I apologize for the delay. I have not been receiving your emails as they have been filtered into spam.  I did finally find the photos and thank you for sending. Unfortunately, we are not able to help you with the feeder you have as we do not have replacement parts for that item. February 17, 2016 – [redacted] emailed:  Hi [redacted], Ok  Can you just replace the 2 feeders like you had said before? If you can't can you give me an email of a manager or someone else who can please? [redacted] February 18, 2016 – Hiatt Manufacturing’s response: [redacted], We do not have a replacement warranty on the feeders you purchased.

I am rejecting this response because she told me to send pictures & gave me hope that she was going to help me & I did & she just dismissed that an animal chewed it, but clearly that never happened because I only had the 2 feeders in question which I paid $7.99 each at Lowes in pickering Ontario & I still have my receipt with a total of $18.06. This lady has horrible customer service skills & she forgets that shes wasting alot of my precious time & she's getting paid for her time which is clearly more the $18.06. I want her to have respect for her customers moving forward because after the pictures I sent she ignored the next several emails I sent which shows no respect on her part to me the customer! She wouldn't have a Job if it wasn't for her customers. In my opinion this business should be closed down because she doesn't stand by her horrible flimsy products that don't even last a few weeks never mind a season. I still want my money back from her as soon as possible. Thank you for your time
