No sushi out when we arrived. We were told 10 minutes 3 or X. Most of the food was inedible and they had no sushi or craw fish which they advertiseMy wife and 3 children went out for my middle daughters 13th birthday dinner which is a tradition every year for us. She wanted sushi which I knew they had and it is usually very good. After we sat down we all went to fill our plates. I asked about more crawfish because they had a total of 16 and they said in 5 minutes. My daughter's birthday dinner usually consists of sushi crawfish and ice cream for desert for the past 3 years. When she told me there was only 2 pieces of a sushi roll at the sushi bar, I told her I would ask them to make more which all chinese buffets are happy to do that we have been to. At the sushi bar I asked for tuna roll and a California roll which is not alot of sushi, and was told 10 minutes. So in 10 minutes I went back up. He then said "ohh sorry sorry 10 minute". I went around to see if anything was restocked on the buffet. Nothing was. it was the same stuff from 1/2 hr ago.At that point I was frustrated because the food looked old and dry. My kids had tried to eat some lo mein noodles. They were dry overcooked and just unhealthy looking. I asked the waitress when they would restock and she never came back to give me an answer. I asked a very boy that was picking up plates, for a manager he said yes yes and took our plates and walked off and didn't return.The kids each had soup and 4 crawfish each 12 total and some garlic bread and 1 glass of water each. We asked every person that came by for water and we never got refills. I had 4 crawfish and a couple bites of general saos chicken that was overcooked to the point I couldnt bite into it. My 3 year old had soup and an icecream cone. My wife had hibachi grill they didn't have cabbage or carrots which is a staple at any hibachi. So half her meal was missing. As well as the sushi and the crawfish. Being from [redacted] it is a treat to have crawfish . 30 minutes went by before they came out and there was a line to get them. We went there not expecting perfection just a decent meal like we have had so many times at this hibachi grill. My wife and I finally got annoyed and I apologized to my daughter, We told the kids we have to go somewhere else for sushi. I asked the waitress for a discount since so much food was unedible or not present. She didn't understand Idont think she spoke a whole lot of English. So my wife and I went to pay at the counter and told the manager what was happening. The man that spoke to us was the same guy that told me sushi in 10 minutes 3 times. I told him this is why we were here to eat sushi and crawfish mainly. My wife then said you did not have either of them out. (except the few cold crawfish we had when we got there). She ask if we can get a discount because of the poor service and we did not get to eat what we came for. He said NO! my wife and I were taken back. I asked him to please not yell in front of my chidren. I said so 3/4 of the food was old and unedible. We asked for sushi and crawfish which they always have plenty of. I asked him if he came to my resteraunt and asked for a hamburger and got a hot dog would you be ok with paying the same amount. He did answer. He said next time you come earlier you get what you want. We didnt go 5 minutes before closing at 10 or 11, it was 730 when we got there I beleive or around there. So again we asked if he can give us a small discount because of the inconvience he said no you come earlier. At that point I knew it was a losing battle and paid the bill with no tip since we could only get 1 cup of water and I had to remove the plates from our table onto an empty table.Desired SettlementIt's not the fact that they ruined my daughter 13th birthday. It matters but thats not the issue. I would like a full refund. Due tot he fact we could't eat what they advertise. Most of the food they did have was morbidly beyond its shelf life. The restroom was so dirty my wife had to wait till we left to go elsewhere. We are al disapointed with our experience at Hibachi Grill & Suppreme Buffet. I would like a full refund. they advertise rib eye steak which they didnt have, they advertise sushi which they didnt have, they advertise crawfish they didnt have in the coupon clipper i'm reading now. This is unsatisfatory in an business. I know I cannot advertise I have a product, tell people just wait a bit even though they never received their pizza lets say for example and gave them a coffee instead and charged the same amount to my cutomers for something I promised and advertised but did not deliver. If I did that I would probably be in jail. I beleive that is false advertising. We were charged $53.00 and I would like it refunded. I have a copy of their advertisement if you would like a copy.Thank you for you help I hope Hibachi Grill will do the right thing.[redacted]Business Response I talked to the manager over there, nobody remembered this matter. but I still can refund 50% of the bill only if you can show me credit card reciept for proof.
