I have called, emailed and written letters to the company requesting to stop advertising, stop payment and close my account.
They have not responded to me and have been charging my credit card each month.
#1 I am dealing with medical issues, cancer.
#2 I am not making money from my business and going out of business.
I requested for Hibu to stop advertising and stop charging my credit card.
They do not listen to me and my request.
They have poor customer service.

This letter is being sent in response to the correspondence received on 10/22/2019 regarding the advertising for Melva’s New Way To Clean.

I spoke with Ms. regarding her concerns with being able to afford the product and a potential cancellation. I did let Ms. know if she is looking for a medical hardship on her account, we would need a letter from her doctor indicating she is no longer able to work, the date it began, and the expected date of return. Ms. feels she can afford the advertising and her treatment costs. If she changes her mind down the road, Ms. may fax or email me a letter from her doctor and I can review further. hibu says that we are in an agreement that is auto renewed. They will not send me a signed contract all they will send is a contract that says Auto Renew. When asked for a signed contract they just keep sending the same thing. They sent a voice call that says nothing about singing a auto renew contract. Paid last year to get them to stop billing and told them no more. Big mistake they keep on billing. Not even sure that we are being advertised. Asked for a directory to see advertisement in our area and have not received. We get so many directories I am not sure if we have ever received one or not. I was told that we were sent a letter but we have not received one asking for renewal. Tried to get a copy but have not received. When trying to talk all they say is pay the bill and send the same auto renew contract with no signed approval. No one would sign a lifetime contract with a company with no way of canceling.

10/31/19-In response to complaint ID that was submitted by ***, the advertising in question was automatically renewed into our Golden Triangle, MS 2020 yellowbook. Auto renewal notices were sent to Mr. on 2/18/19, 3/11/19 and 4/13/19. The customer was instructed to respond by 4/19/19 if they did not wish to renew the advertising. The customer called back on 9/26/19 and has been opted out of auto renewal for future advertising. In the interest of customer relations, we have adjusted the customer's billing on the publication.

All we wanted wast to stop the billing and calls which was agreed on. We did not receive any of the 3 renewal noticed that were supposed to have been set prior to the billing.

This company is a scam their sales team will give you promises that they will not keep once they get your money. The sales team will say that it takes two weeks to finish your website but in actuality it takes four weeks. Once your site is completed there are typos and mistakes. This is not a good company to use to start a new business. They will make promises that they will not keep. If they make a mistake on your website they will Not except responsibility but will blame others. Scam scam scam.

purchased a Site & Display Standard promotion on 9/13/19. The products went live on 10/11/19. We completed the interview with *** on 9/13/19 waiting for him to send information for the website pages. We received his information on 9/19/19. Although our Sales Representative advised *** that we could build his site in 2 weeks, it took 3 weeks from the time we received ***’ information. There was also a misunderstanding about the domain name that the client wished to use for the Hibu website. We provisioned a new url for the website and repointed the website on 10/16/19. I have attempted to reach *** without success. We are offering 1 month of the advertising charge at $355.77. If this is acceptable to him, he should contact me at *** or email me at ***@hibu.com. I have been "using" this company for years, and I have nothing to show for it. What I do have is a horrible website with incorrect info. Which they haven't changed no matter how many times I've asked. www.***.com take a look for yourself. I got so fed up trying to get them to fix it I ended up making a new website of my own. After doing that I requested to terminate my services with Hibu. They will not cancel the agreement and any time I get someone on the phone about it the call gets disconnected on their end with no callbacks ever. They continue to charge me and each month the charges have increased with no explanation. I sent a certified letter to the address on my most recent agreement requesting cancellation, but that letter was returned because the addressee moved and left no forwarding address. This company is a total scam! I highly discourage anyone interested in doing business with them.

This letter is being sent in response to the correspondence received on 10/15/2019 regarding the advertising concerns with ***.

I spoke with *** regarding the Mobile Boost product. The product was authorized on the contract completed via voice verification on 5/23/2019. The voice verification was done that day for a bold listing under Chiropractors and a white page listing in our Quad Cities 2019-2020, a listing on Yellowbook.com, as well as the Mobile Boost for $20 per month. *** feels the Mobile Boost was not discussed prior to this voice verification. Upon speaking with our sales representative, he indicated it was addressed as this is how the customer received the rate, she did in our print book.

The Mobile Boost was cancelled due to nonpayment. There was an outstanding balance of $60.00 on the Mobile Boost product. I have adjusted this balance as a goodwill gesture to ***, and not for any wrong doing done by Hibu.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused her but I did thank her for her time spent with me to review her concern.

This letter is being sent in response to the rejected reply received on 12/27/2019 regarding the advertising concerns with ***.

The voice verification done is the authorized agreement for the Mobile Boost product. Unfortunately, any prior discussions were not recorded and therefore I cannot determine if it was or was not discussed prior. Upon speaking with our sales representative, he indicated it was addressed as this is how the customer received the rate, she did in our print book.

The Mobile Boost has been cancelled and there is a zero-dollar balance on her digital account as I adjusted the $60 outstanding balance. Additionally, the print balance for the Quad Cities 2019/2020 book is cared for in full as I adjusted the remaining $85.00. As of today, 12/31/2019, nothing is due to Hibu.

I was approached by a hibu salesman at my business in June. He presented me with some digital marketing solutions. They were very high priced and I told him I could not afford it. After several more attempts to get me to sign I agreed. We agreed that my contract and services would not start until the end of September. Due to unfortunate circumstances I notified him that I could not proceed with the contract. I notified him around August 15th. Before the contract even started on September 24th. He had me email him and the company stating that I wanted to cancel or delay my contract. I did so. At the end of September I started receiving emails that I was going to be billed. I reached out to Hibu and inform them that I had canceled with Josh. Of course they said they had no record of it the way they say to everybody on here. I sent them screenshots of the emails and text messages between Josh and I. A few days later they took money out of my account. Now I am getting emails that they cannot cancel my service because I am one month into it. It never started! I canceled before it started. I had to deactivate my debit card. And if they try to take more money there will be a lawsuit. Stay away from Hibu. Or yellow book as they also go by. Stay far away. High pressure sales, And if you do cancel before your contract even starts they will continue to bill you

Cory has been our rep for years and it is always a pleasure working with him. Cory has been helpful in getting our website set up and recommending what we need.

I can't say in a few words the benefits I've experienced with HIBU over the last 25 years.
Todd S was my first HIBU rep. He spoiled me due to his great character and the passion he had for taking care of his client with the products HIBU offers. Our relationship gave me little to doubt so, I often took Todd's word for it... and it worked!!
Cory K took Todd's place after his untimely death and has the uncanny ability to treat me about the same as Todd. I'm a small business, but they make me look big. I know there are other companies spending $50,000.00 a year on advertising! I'm not, but, you couldn't tell be the way they catered to me and my business.
Just this morning, a client of mine stated that he finally started a $300. web presence with HIBU (Cory) and that he has gained so many new clients that he's thinking of getting a larger building and more staff.
One last thing; Having one representative to discuss all these media issues with and also have an annual meeting to go over it all with is awesome. One rep that's on my side... PRICELESS!!!

I have had significant trouble getting a hold of the account manager at HIBU for my website design in the past 4 weeks. HIBU has listed my personal cell phone number on their yellow book listings and other listings. I have asked multiple times - on the phone with the account manager, through email twice and with the customer service department at least twice to update so my business phone number is listed. I asked to have my *** reviews merged with my new business listing. HIBU said they would take care of this. They did not. I had to do this myself with *** with quite a bit of time spent for the listing to be updated. I paid for *** ads and a social media package. HIBU did not do anything for this. I ended up doing this myself and have paid for *** ads as an additional fee. In addition the website design preview was mediocre and not well done. I had a much better design on Vistaprint which I paid $50 per month and had no problem cancelling. I joined HIBU because I thought I would be getting a more comprehensive package for website design and marketing. I wish I had stuck with visaprint. It has been a huge disappointment and NOW when I try to cancel the account, I am told that I need to talk with another department or I need to take with the account manager, who I cannot get a hold of despite several emails and a number of phone calls. The company is not transparent, and does not have good follow through. I am unable to get a cancellation though I have requested with customer service twice. I am kicking myself for not checking the reviews on the Revdex.com before proceeding.

They don’t make updates when asked. They say they have then it turns out they haven’t. They will say that they’re calling back but won’t. Salesmen use misleading information and false promises to get you to try it. Once you give them a few months of not producing any leads and try to quit using them you’ll suddenly realize that you’re in a six month contract. From what I understand the contract is not legally binding but they will tell you otherwise. Contacted an attorney today. I’d rather give money to an attorney than give this shady dishonest company another dime.

Our records indicate that the advertising in question was verbally authorized by *** on 8/1/19. There is a recording on file. The contract is for Search Standard which has a minimum contract term of 6 months which is mentioned in the recording. The campaign went live on 8/14/19. The ads have been viewed over 7000 times with 140 clicks to Mr.’s website. The campaign is performing as expected based on the budget. We apologize that Mr. was unhappy with his experience. I have spoken with Mr. and we have resolved the matter in a satisfactory manner.

We started with Hibu earlier this year and the service we received from Hibu has been anything but acceptable. We started with Hibu to increase our *** clicks and impressions. We have not notice any difference in our standings and reached out to Hibu to have our Company name attached to the search. I noticed everything they proposed on their dashboard is generic. Meaning they can use any companies information to obtain results. Our business name is never included in the listings management, search marketing, and display advertising. We also had a social listing with Hibu where they stated that they made us active on 68 websites. Come to find out we were not active on 68 websites, including the local white and yellow pages, which I personally made active. I recommend that you do not seek the services of Hibu. They will take your money and create new contracts without your awareness or approval.

I have been working with Corey for a couple of years now and he has been very helpful in setting up the website for my company. He has also helped me get the most for my money as far as advertising for my business. He is always available when I have questions on anything. He is great to work with. I would highly recommend working with him.
