I have received your letter of August 26th regarding a guitar repair for [redacted]. I am very sorry for his distress and am interested in resolving this situation. I had talked with Mr. [redacted] earlier in the month about the length of time the repairs were taking and agreed that it was taking...

a very long time and I would urge the technician to expedite completion. He was impressed with much of the work that had been done and expressed concern about the remainder. The last I had heard Mr. [redacted] had picked up the instrument on August 24th and was very happy with it. After getting this letter, I talked with the technician involved and was told that Mr. [redacted] had left pleased but then had called the next day to complain about the wiring. The technician asked him to bring it in so that they could go over it together. Apparently, Mr. [redacted] chose to not do that and instead took it elsewhere for further work. We do not know who did the subsequent work or what work they performed. I would be more than happy to speak with them as well as to Mr. [redacted] to get this information. Without knowing what was done to the instrument to resolve the problem in question, it is impossible for me to make an informed response. I would like this information so we can document and resolve the situation as appropriate. We've been doing this sort of work for many years for many satisfied customers.
