Review: I purchased a [redacted] CD player from Hidef Lifestyle on [redacted] on February 23, 2014. The purchase price was $369.00.

On March 22, 2014 I emailed the company to tell them that I would like to return the item for a refund and requested a return authorization number. On March 24, 2014 I received an emailed reply that because the item I purchased was a store demo that a return would not be possible. I replied to the business that the [redacted] listing did not state this and in fact stated: "Seller did not specify a returns policy." I also printed a copy of the page that I ordered from as proof of what I'm stating. Additionally, the company's own website states that all items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund, with certain items, being subject to a 15% restocking fee.

My purchase was based on the information that was shown on the [redacted] listing and as stated above, did not specify a return policy.

If I had known that I could not return the item if it didn't meet my needs, I never would have ordered it in the first place.

Hidef Lifestyle has since tried to email me a link to a return policy that was NOT included on the advertised order page from which the item was purchased. I have replied to their email with my information, including the offer to show the documents that I have, and they are no longer responding to my emails or efforts to communicate with them.

More importantly, the printed documents I have will corroborate the information as stated above.Desired Settlement: The cd player is still in great cosmetic and working condition with the supplied accessories and packaging.

I am seeking to return the item for a full refund as originally requested to resolve this matter.

The customer did purchase a Store Demo [redacted] CD player from HIDEF Lifestyle via our [redacted] online Store on 02/23/14. The Return Policy did state that there is (No returns or exchanges, contact seller with questions). see attachment.The buyer mentions HIDEF Lifestyles' return policy that is posted on www.hideflifestyle.com. This is a different return policy from our online [redacted] store return policy. Again, the item was purchased from HIDEF via our [redacted] store. [redacted] has been notified of this situation (case #[redacted]) and has agreed with HIDEF Lifestyle that the buyer wants to return the item due to "buyer remorse". The buyer even states that the cd player is in great cosmetic and working condition. There is nothing wrong with the item. Due to [redacted] agreeing with HIDEF Lifestyle and that the attached documentation clearly states the Return Policy. I feel that HIDEF Lifestyle has done nothing to miss lead the buyer. The documentation provided by hidef Lifestyle regarding a return policy for this item is not what was displayed when I purchased the item.Please see the attached 3 page printout from the item's actual complete [redacted] website listing to see what was visible to buyers including myself.In absence of a displayed return policy on the item's [redacted] listing, it is also reasonable that a consumer might refer to the company's own website regarding a return policy (a copy of which is also attached.) Furthermore, according to [redacted]'s website the case is still open and I have not received any indication or notification that [redacted] agrees with the seller as the seller has stated. It is my opinion that the seller failed to properly display a return policy for this item (including no returns) on [redacted] and as such, I am rejecting their response.

The customer was not seeing a return policy and HIDEF was seeing one on our end. After further investigation, [redacted] found that the error was a result of a programing glitch from their iT department.

[redacted] has decided to make the customer and HIDEF whole due to their error.
