Hello [redacted] /or to whom it may concernConcerning this very ,very untrue accusation, when this project started I was referred by the individual that was doing the electrical for these people and when it began this relationship was in very good standing well first off I would like to say why would anyone hire ,and continue to work with someone if the relationship was so hennas ? when this project started we tore out the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room and the client was very very pleased so to continue, the client had previously had another contractor that was supposed to do the kitchen , but they were not available so the client ask us if we could continue on to the kitchen and they were so pleased with the beam installation that they insisted that we do the kitchen as well,so I was asked how much would it be and we came to a mutual agreement (without a contract) there was never a contract asked for because off the clients confidence in the contractor so the price of $was agreed on with payments to be made as certain areas were complete and both parties (client as well as contractor) were satisfied with that as the job progressed minor issues arose as they always do that held the job up for a day or two such as (electrical, cabinetry, personal family issues with the client etc:) and the client began to ask me about my associate workers being paid, which I thought strange because in all the years that I have been in business I have never repeat never neglected to pay my guys ever so my wife and I were preparing to go on a small vacation for Four days and two of my guys were left to move forward with the kitchen and the client was supposed to grant me a final payment when I returned only for me to find that when I returned that this client had went behind my back and hired one of my sub ,and my worker excepted the offer and all the time this was being negotiated behind my back so when I returned I spoke with my worker and told him how unjust this was and I left the clients property and suddenly about a month later the clients husband calls me complaining that some of the work there was not done correctly and to be honest I thought to my self , thats what happens when you do people wrong and believe me I have no regret concerning the client so when he called me I told him that he was completely wrong for how they treated me after I was completely ethical with them so I preceded to tell the client to call my ex worker the one that he hired behind my back because he was the last one hired by you both and concerning the missing tool box or kit I have absolutely no idea what is going on there this is simply a case of a project going bad after they chose to cut me out of the picture it is nothing more then that( oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive ) this is my truthful part of what happen and I have moved on , also this project took nowhere near weeks the honest time period before I was so dishonestly dismissed was 1/weeks if anyone is responsible for this catastrophe it would be the client or the person they hired after myself Thank youRobert Hello Once again [redacted] , as per our conversation concerning the scope of work for clientConcrete Structural wall that divided kitchen from dining room was removedSteel beam was then installedEntire Kitchen was dismantled down to concrete wallsKitchen then had to be completely re framed to install new wallsnew drywall was then installedAlso separate area dismantled to install pantryWalls were then prepared for installation of finished wallsPlumbing also had to be run for Island area, sink area Etc:Also entire area was to be paintedRemoved one kitchen window area, and closed in with concrete Drywall was completely installed throughout entire kitchenAll of this was completed for the cost of $of which 2/of went to sub workersWork that was left to be doneTrim was to be installed around complete kitchenTouch up painting was not completedPantry door was to be installedkitchen window was to be installedAnd various other touch up workFor the remanding $which I did not recieveThank youRobert H***

Mr, H*** states that I agreed to pay him $10,for this entire project, but I only initially agreed to pay him $4,to tear down the wall between my kitchen and dining roomThat was the original scope of our agreementAs work progressed, MrH*** is correct that other aspects of work were agreed upon, but there was never a set amount of $10,to our agreementRather, MrH*** would make periodic payment requests from me as work progressed and the attached shows that I ultimately paid MrH*** over $15,for this project, which remains unfinished to date.It seems that my complaint has afforded MrH*** a convenient opportunity to define the scope of this project in hindsightHowever, at the outset of the project I never received any specific detail of labor and/or material costs that MrH*** has submitted to your officeIf I had, this disagreement could most likely have been avoidedAs I mentioned above, the initial project scope was to tear down the wall between the kitchen and the dining roomThen the kitchen remodeling was added to the project, then enclosing a portion of our back patio as a sun room was added, then the exterior painting of our house was addedMrH*** never fully completed any aspect of the project; he only thinks that he did and the photos that I previously submitted to you evidence my position. When MrH*** went on vacation, his subcontractors took the opportunity of his absence to vent their frustration to me about working for himThey told me that they could no longer work with MrH*** because of his poor project management skills and because they were not receiving the compensation that he had promised them under their respective agreementBecause I had no contract with MrH*** I had the right to engage them directlyIndeed, I had no choice but to hire them directly because they were ready to walk and I was facing project shutdownThe general consensus of all parties, excluding MrH***, was that he was adding no value to the project as a general contractor, but rather only overhead costsThere was ho behind the scenes conspiracy to disadvantage MrH*** despite his beliefsTruth be told, the reason why this project went so wrong is because MrH*** does not have the least bit of experience of performing or supervising any of the work that his subcontractors performed for himHow can he know if a job was done right if he didn't know what work needed to be done to complete it? He never "rolled up his sleeves" to move the job along, he never spent more than a few minutes at the job site at one time, and he never hauled materials in his truck, but he always maintained a neat appearance and was always there to pick up a check.Attached to this correspondence is a proposal of project items that need to be corrected either because they were completed incorrectly or not at ail under MrH***' supervisionTotal costs that will incur under this agreement exceed $8,000, which is why I feel that MrH*** should refund a portion of the monies that I previously paid him

The project was started the day before my daughter's birthday May 25 there would be days  that no one showed up at the time of the installation of the cabinets Robert was supposed to follow the exact plans that the previous contractor made blueprints of the cabinets were installed improperly they are not flush with the wall  The granite company that Robert recommended to us gave us faulty poor quality granite Robert never gave us a contract to sign he just kept asking us for money  we now have to pay someone else to come and fix all of the mistakes that were made in my kitchen I had to go and ask someone else one of Roberts workers to finish  to finish the project while he was on vacation because no one was showing up here to do the work the reason I asked someone  The reason I asked someone to finish the work while he was on vacation is because his workers were going to quit and not finish the job because they did not like working with Robert so all in all I've had two people quit because they don't like working with Robert my kitchen is still not complete  and it is the end of September the last time anyone was here was the end of August so that does put us out 12 to 14 weeks
I am completely dissatisfied with the work he and his workers provided my house was always a mess I always had to clean up after them none of my furniture or appliances were covered I  I had to throw a lot of things away and spend hours cleaning my furniture to restore it back to normal living conditions

Review: Had gutter and downspout work done on house and garage in September of 2013. Gutters on garage have been leaking at all joints. Called to have repairs made. They came and said it was all fixed yet the leaks remain where I pointed them out. Replaced downspout on my house started to leak several weeks ago and iced formed on the outside of the downspout. Today I arrived home to find the downspout had collapsed and shattered and water is now dripping on my deck and I have a 4-5 inch thick coating of ice covering my deck. Mr. [redacted] says he's not responsible and blames the weather although no other homes in my area have suffered the same fate. He became very loud and rude on the phone and said he would fix the problems but I would have to pay for the materials. He blames everything but the workmanship. He feels he doing me a favor by fixing these problems while I have to foot the bill for materials when the materials used were recommended by himself and his employee.Desired Settlement: Repairs to be done at businesses expense and 50% refund for my inconvenience.
