I originally went with High Art because of the final product, the package, and priceI had confirmed with the booking agent that I needed two videographers at multiple locations, for hours, and that we would only need the raw footage as we opted out of the edited footageIt was explained to me via email confirmation that what I was requesting would not be an issue and that two videographers was included with the package as she assists her husband with filming when necessaryThey only charge $for their services, which includes edited footage and Jessica explained that if I only wanted the raw footage from the wedding day that it would be $instead of $
They were very persistent with communications regarding booking and once I paid the $non-refundable deposit I had not heard back until about two weeks before the weddingMy husband and I decided to pay the extra $to have the video edited but still wanted the raw footageAt this point I provided the locations, times, and addresses of each place I needed them to be at as well since they had not requested that information before as their informational email stated they wouldAbout three days before the wedding Jessica emailed me confirming locations and explained that her husband would do his best to make it to all the locations but that having one person might be difficultI immediately responded and explained that was not what we agreed on and that I could forward her the email where she confirmed that there would be two videographersShe then tried to tell me if I wanted an extra videographer it would cost more even though the email clearly said videographers for $for raw footage and edited footageShe quickly said that wouldn’t be an issue and explained that they typically only have one videographer during the receptionI agreed that after the ceremony one of them could leave as long as there was at least one at the reception
The day of the wedding the videographer showed up late to my location and no one was at the locations where my husband wasI have text messages from Jessica asking what time he should arrive at my parents house to get shots of me getting ready with bridesmaids, etcI texted back that we were already started and that I was halfway done and that she should’ve already been thereI asked if everything was ok and if she was on her way but never received any messages back or answered my phone callsAt the reception Brett (the videographer) missed half of the cake cutting and several guests informed me that they had seen him through out the night at the bar and drinkingHe never confirmed that he had all the shots or even told when he was leaving
After the wedding I had emailed the company to let them know that I would not be paying them the full amount for their services as they did not deliver what was promised, which was the two videographers at multiple locations and that I was going to dispute the payment via paypalThe entire time all communication was through Jessica until my complaintFrom there Brett called me and was confused why I was upset and tried to tell me that the final product would be what I wantedI tried to explain to him that I didn’t doubt that he would be able to edit the footage but that I was upset because I was missing several hours of footage and perspective from the groom’s locationsHe attempted to explain he did show up to the location but nobody was there, which is not correctWe had to involve a lawyer to assist with communication because they had failed to offer any resolution or explanation of why Jessica didn’t show up and why Brett was lateWe had requested the raw footage so that we could review it to determine when he showed up and left as well as ensure all the key pieces of the wedding day were captured
When we did this and reviewed the footage we had only an hour of clips from the weddingIt was not raw footage but rather video clips that would have been used for the edited footage, which was not what I had requested from themIn addition, the reception was missing important elementsWe are missing the bridal party entrance, father daughter dance, our 1st dance, cake cutting, speeches, and dance clipsWhen we explained this to Brett his initial response was that the hour of footage was the average length of video that he gave all clientWe had to reach out several times to them to receive details as to why the reception was missing from his files and he never respondedWe threatened to take him to court and he finally admitted that he deleted our files and they could not be recovered
I would not recommend this company to anyone regardless of the final product that they show on their website because they were difficult to communicate with, ignored specific details about our day, and eventually gave us “raw footage” of very miscellaneous moments which had no significance to our wedding day
