Great company to deal withThey determined what I needed and installed my solar panels quickly and explained everything along the wayFrom the initial consultation with *** to ***, ***, ***, ***, ***, ***, all the installers and finally, to *** for the foll-- they were great! I would recommend this company to any homeowner who is considering going solar

I signed a contract for a solar system with this company and gave the deposit check to the sales person, however, I cancelled the contract the next day in writing due to personal reason I called the office and confirmed that they have received the cancellation and will send the deposit check to me within days which was also indicated on the contract I didn't receive the deposit check after one month The office said that they had mailed the check and had no control on the post office Two months has passed, and I still didn't receive the deposit check Should I blame the post office or they never mail out? The manager didn't bother to return my phone call
Bad experience with this company Won't use this company again when I'm ready to install the system in the future

I liked my Sales guy he was very professional and kept me at ease!
Very informative on the product and No pressure Sales
When the installers arrived they were knowledgeable in construction
and I was able to go up on the roof with them , they explained to me how
they were going to install the framework and Solar PanelsI was impressed with the
Quality of their workThe original Canvasser who approached me was very polite and well mannered and is a credit to this company

I was very please with High Definition Solar They were thorough, professional, and communicative throughout the process, from initial contact to the post-installation follow up visit to explain the monitoring website and address any other questions I would happily recommend them to anyone considering solar installation in the North Bay

I got my Solar system from High Definition Solar and I am very happy, they have done everything they said they would do
The Saleseperson was very patient with me and I am happy with where the panels are locatedI am really impressed with the fact
That they did not try to oversell me, an honest company!

Sales Staff at High Definition Solar explained things very well , were on time
and we love the Inverter per panel technologyProject Management and Install
were also on time , cordial and efficientJob was done very quickly
Keep up the good work High Definition Solar

I have so appreciated High Definition Solar, because of their product, their honesty and integrity I also have appreciated that this company has treated me as a valued customer from beginning to endI am really impressed that at the very beginning of the project, I was given a time-line showing when the solar panels would be installed and phone numbers to contact in case I had questions I'm also impressed with the fact that whenever I called, a project manager and/or other person was right there to answer my questions I can't recommend High Definition Solar highly enough!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/05/20) */
The company has conducted a detailed investigation into the customers concernsThis was accompanied by a in-person visit to the customers houseThe company held multiple conversations with the customer throughout the project and the
proceeding monthsThese conversations/meetings were conducted by multiple people from withe companyIn addition their are detailed notes of each of these conversations
The concerns the customer has brought to our attention were not only handled verbally, most importantly in writing at point of saleThey were then re-confirmed (Double verified) by the company shortly following the point of saleThese standard procedures are in place to protect all parties involved and to ensure a smooth process
After conducting our last conversation minutes with the customerIt has been determined that all obligations have been met verbally and contractuallyWith this in mind the company still made an attempt to come to a mutual agreement with the customerThey declined!
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/05/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The employee/rep whom they state visited my home did not come in response to my calls to the solar company about my issues with the system and the lenderHe claimed to be unaware of these issuesOne more time they are distorting the facts! The person who came to my home, months after the installation, came to help me get online with the monitoring application "Enphase" (Tech Support)and I used that visit as an opportunity to have him explain to me the ambiguous number of yearly production in correlation to the number of panels as stated on the agreement compared to my new PG&E statements and he was unable to decipher that number and proposed to take it to someone else in the company with the expertise to calculate it and would have them call me and explain itI also took advantage of visit to to talk to him about my displeasure with the way the lending was mis-represented with regards to Federal Tax credit applicable and now after tax filing not being able to be refunded it to pay down the loan as suggested I could do and the credit will be rolled to tax yearThe sales tactic of using the language termed a "combo loan" instead of separate loans is nothing more than misleading and the agreement refers to this second loan as a "progress payment" which was suggested to me, how the solar company gets paid for the installI talked about not being able to cancel within the rescission as the system was installed before I even received the loan documents and how the lender was not receptive to my complaints when I called them about the second loan when I was called to sign it as I had not, and they said it was not optional though it was not I understood it to beOf course the solar company claims no responsibility for actions of the lender as they are not associated even thogh they procure them at time of saleAllowing time from winter to spring hours, time to evaluate the performance of the panels and getting an explanation of this ambiguous number stated on the agreement that I can expect, it is apparent I was undersold the number of panels needed to even produce 50% of what the sales rep suggested I could expect based on her review of my average PG&E usage for the yearThe system is sold on the premise that it's even possible to generate excess that PG&E has to buy back from youThis man had me fill out a customer suggestion formHigh Def followed up on that with a phone call by ***, who re-hashed my issues and promised to get back to me in hoursThat did not happen, so I filed a complaint with Revdex.comThis did result in a phone call on 5-20-In that "72" minute conversation with ***, he eventually stooped low enough to say I signed the agreement and I should have known what that ambiguous number meant even though I explained I have no expertise in that area, as do some of his co-workersI told him if of my acquaintances and one of his employees could not figure that ambiguous number's meaning, why does he expect I should and why doesn't the agreement state it verbatim as kilowatt hours or watts as he once suggested his copy didIf it had been detailed from the start I probably would have realized, that calculation, for which I trusted the sales rep to be capable of making after reviewing my energy bills, deteinging my needs in number of panels would hsve resulted in my realization I couldn't afford the number of panels to meet my needsI was on unemployment, on a tight budget, all of which was disclosed to the sales rep and the lenderNow it is apparent, they both were quite accommodating to get me into what I could afford and qualify for not what would be neededAt the start of the sell, I had a notion that only wealthy people could afford to convert to solar but they were determined to show me that even I could afford to do it on my low income and without having to make a down payment and roll everything into a "combo" @ 6% loan for as low as $ per month or that I could live withNot a bad trade off, in my mind, over $ per month to PGE in the winter timeThis was the initial bending of the truthSell me what I can afford on my income and qualify for, as opposed to what I needed to substantially reduce my grid useI have expressed to the solar management that if I could not afford a down payment, and I was up front with everyone on my employment as my income, for which they worked around, how is it I would be okay with a $5,ooo.oo balloon payment, that may or may not avail in form of federal tax refund months down the road? Why would I buy a system knowing it would not alleviate the high cost of PG&E? therefore, adding to my energy bills not decreasing them? They want to insist that is exactly what I did, as ludicrous as that isI can see that they will never come to a mutual agreement, They further expressed that I am the only customer that has ever complained about these issues! for which I responded, I know I am not the only one, so that is another untruthThat comment did not sit well with them and he injected that one other person in Castro Valley was as remorseful as I and they can't work with that person either, inferring we just didn't get itTheir attempt to come to an agreement was in the form of offering me $500.00, to basically cease and desist, for which I declined the money, as I have asked that they attempt to come to agreement by following their and have this matter arbitrated, as I am held to, and I will present my paperwork and my side for that person to review and make a decision in principleI await for High Definition Solar to make that appointment
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2014/06/30) */
A new resolution was presented to the customer and accepted by all parties involvedAll concerns and matters are resolved in writing with signatures
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2014/06/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
High Definition Solar offered $ to suffice if I would cease and desist, I would not and could not accept this as the contract requires arbitration to resolve issuesThey then apparently asked the lender to call me to see if they could help with a resolveI was contacted by the finance company, EnerBank USA, X-to file an affidavit and then again on X-X-XXXX , with a partial resolve by offering to re-write my loans for a much lower interest rate and a similar monthly payment amount, that would save at least $5,over the life of the loanI said I would consider it, if they could review the details and stipulations (which included signing a "confidentiality" agreement and remove all negative reviews posted on line)This loan re-write does not address the shortage of solar panel production issueUnfortunately, after their initial review, they decided that I did not qualify for the new loan since I no longer receive unemployment benefits that I was receiving at the time of first loanThis resolve/offer quickly evaporated! EnerBank offered to look into other possibilities and get back to me and to date 6-9-they have notI mailed a Consumer Affidavit with support documentation on 6/7/(due by X-XX-XX), outlining the complaints, per their suggestion on 5-30-2014, detailing the issues that need resolveHigh Definition Solar has been silent in all of this since turning things over to EnerBank USA and have not tried to contact me since 5-30-

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/05/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT
accept the response from the business.)
Negotiations are in the process, but nothing definitive has been resolvedArbitration may still be a distinct possibility
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/06/04) */
The company presented more then a fair solution to the customers concernsThey declined the opportunityThe company has not given up on working towards a mutual agreementWe are requesting some further information from the customer with it's permission

We have nothing but praise for High Definition Solar, Inc During our first meeting, their rep explained very carefully what would happen, when, how it would affect us, how much it would cost No push He left us to think it over, and it took us no time to decide, so we called him right away to place our order
The working crew arrived even sooner than expected and during the whole process, explained what they were doing
After completion, we had a final visit from another rep, who made sure we understand what to expect in our relations with our electricity provider, as well as answering any further questions we might have
We are very happy with High Definition Solar, Inc, and will recommend them to all our friends and relatives

Everybody I worked with at this company has been honest , straightforward and helpfulThey did not try to sell me anything we did not wantThey kept me informed
throughout the whole processTheir installers worked very hard and installed my panels in one dayTheir work was outstanding, very clean and neat
Great Communication throughout

High Definition Solar

I have been happy with High Definition Solar, everybody I have dealt with has been
great so far. I was happy they were able to put the panels where I preferred and
the Project went very well. The Follow up visit was very helpful also.

All the people I dealt with at High Def Solar were all great especially the person in charge of the installers. Since I had some questions, I was happy and surprised when I got a call and visit from [redacted] to follow up on the whole process of acquiring solar and answered my questions completely. It was very impressive that someone would come out weeks after everything was completed to check to make sure any questions were answered and to make sure the customer was satisfied with this experience.

I am happy with my Panels so far from High Definition Solar.
The Sales team was very informative and Install teams were very good
at explaining things and they were very patient with me as I asked many questions.
The panels are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. High Definition Solar could not have
better representatives working for their company.

I was very appreciative of all of their follow up which helped me understand solar and how to share my positive experience.

All of the High Definition Solar personnel from Sales, project manager, installers, and customer relations manager were excellent in their professional work. Some included professional humor to put me at ease. I was very impressed from the beginning to end of this project how quickly the project progressed in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with the completed project.

[redacted] represented his company today at my home. He helped me navigate the website and made it clear how to interpret my solar usage etc. I appreciated this service as I had not tried to navigate on the website etc. [redacted] explained my usage and my storage. He explained to me what Tru Up is from PGE. I look forward to my navigating and checking my usage one a month. This company has very professional people from the sales department to the professional installation, and now to the customer service. It is great to know I can call this company anytime and talk to a professional who cares about this business association with his customers!
