I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. This again is information since it is not the manafacture's stance since no one visualized the desk I am astounded at the statements being made High fashion home did not send a tag saying a chemical reaction with rubber items could occur This desk is indeed defective with spontaneous erosions on the surface of unknown origin The warrantee should have been upheld per *** *** who later rescinded their word They stated they felt the high fashion home team should have directly visualized the surface of the desk to make any informed decisions The only people who have seen the defective desk are 1) the furniture repair team and 2) myself We have both attested to the fact that this is a manufacturer's defect and I want a full reimbursement for this unnecessary time and hardship

To Whom It May Concern,The customer purchased her desk on July 7th, 2014.  The item was delivered to her home in mid July.  The customer contacted us at the end of November 2014 saying the desk was defective and wanted a replacement. There were several yellow/orange circular stains shown...

in her photos that were submitted to us.  The customer initially said that the desk was placed in a room that is not frequented often and that no objects were ever placed on the desk that could have caused the stains.  After we submitted her claim to the manufacturer in early December, the Quality Control Manager from the manufacturer denied the claim saying that the issue was not because the product was defective, but that an object caused the stains.  The customer then proceed to contact the manufacturer directly and wanted to submit a claim. When the customer spoke to the manufacturer's customer care representative, the customer did not disclose that we had already submitted a claim on her behalf and that her first claim was already denied. From the customer's conversations with the manufacturer's customer care representative, the customer care representative supposedly stated that there could be chemical reactions with the lacquered top of the desk with rubber material.  The manufacturer's customer care representative told the customer the claim need to be submitted by us.  In future conversations between our company and the customer, the customer has admitted that objects were sitting on top of her desk the whole time.  This goes directly against her initial stance that she never had any item sitting on top of her desk.  A new case was opened and Quality Control Manager manager from the manufacturer looked at the findings again. The manufacturer once again denied the claim that the stains on the desk was a manufacturer warranty issue. In an email submitted from the manufacturer to the customer, the email states "The stains on your desk top are not a result of a finish defect, but are from something that was placed on the desk.  This is one of our most popular pieces and we have not had any similar complaints from other consumers.  All things manufactured can be stained and this desk being a light alabaster color will show stains more than a brown piece of furniture.  However, this is not a defect, but the nature of the piece.  Part of your claim was to purchase a glass top for the desk.  While this may be a good idea, this is not the manufacturers or the retailers responsibility to supply a cover for the product."With regards,The High Fashion Home Team

To Whom It May Concern,We are sorry to hear that the customer was not satisfied with the manufacturer's stance that this issue does not fall under the manufacturer's warranty. We support the manufacturer's stance on the issue.  Our store has sold over 30 of this particular desk over the past 2 years.  No other customer has reported a spontaneous erosion of the alabaster finish top.  The manufacturer has sold at retail several hundred more desks, and they have not had a customer report about this particular issue.  The customer's images that were submitted via email are consistent with an object being placed on the table, which caused the yellow, circular markings that the customer has issues with.  An object leaving marks on a table does not constitute that the table is defective. We will not accommodate the customer's request to be reimbursed for $400.With regards,The High Fashion Home Team

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
I have numerous supporting documents that will in fact prove that these are false statements.  I have been completely candid with [redacted] from [redacted].  I did not have anything except a computer monitor on my desk.  There was no hang tag mentioning potential rubber reactions that may take place.  Even if a rubber item was place without my knowledge this is the fault of high fashion home.  Additionally not only were their yellow discolorations but there were erosions of the surface of unknown origin which occurred spontaneously.  I have the testimonial of the furniture repair man who stated he felt this should be covered under warrantee and was a desk defect.  I was assured this is a fact and I am astounded that high fashion home does not support its product or its customer.  Neither does [redacted].  I don't want to be subjected to more back and forth because the facts are the facts.  They never visually inspected the desk.  They are still more then welcome to come to California and look with their own eyes.  I want to be reimbursed for my time and damages.
