Seagate Tree Service was contracted to work on my wooded lot leaving only large oak trees per our written agreementWhen I came home to the job incomplete I called and the owner, Stephen, who is incredibly unproffesional and he assured me that he would be back in the next week or two as long as I could pay him that dayI did in good faith and for the next weeks had to constantly follow up as they did not answer, wouldn't return calls, set dates to come and then no showed and never called on three separate occasions
I then asked for a refund for the work not completedI spoke with a very rude woman, Christy, who called me and then proceeded to be hostile about it being a Saturday when they are open on SaturdaysShe told me I would be contacted Monday to resolve it and I never was so I called back and left a messageI have been cordial the entire time throughout this ordeal
Stephen then erratically stormed onto my property without permission and with one chainsaw proceeded to cut down trees I asked to be refunded forHe did this unassisted by the two other workers with him in a crazy and sloppy mannerOne almost hit my fence and the other tree fell on my house breaking my grill and window screensWhen I went outside he proceeded to aggressively scream and curse in my face with a running chainsaw in his hand blaming me for the work not being done and I asked them to stop and leave my propertyThey continued to work and I had to call the policeThese people are dangerousNEVER HIRE THEM
Seagate Tree Service arrived on Hilton Head Island on Oct 17, just days after residents were allowed to return following the damage done by a direct hit from Hurricane MatthewI was incredibly fortunate to see their trucks in my neighborhood and get a phone number for StephenHe responded within hours to examine my damaged tall pine treesHis quoted price was about 1/of what another company going door-to-door looking for tree work quotedSeagate returned same day to cut down one treeCleaned the roof for no additional charge and REMOVED all the tree sections which many other companies are not doingThe stump grinder was not functioning but they returned a few days later to take down another tree, grind the stumps and remove all debrisI recommended them to a friend nearby who had trees removed and her experience was similarThey exhibited great care for my property and were very professionalThese guys were great!
Have nothing but good things to say about these guysStephen, the owner, arrived promptly on-time for an estimateA week later they came out to cut down nine trees in a relatively enclosed yardFinished it all in one afternoonCompetitive prices too!
