High Road Heating & Cooling Reviews (3)

My wife and I chose High Road Heating & Cooling to come out to diagnose, advise and possibly fix our air conditioner The High Road Heating & Cooling technician was out on June 13, 2017, and we were looking for advice as to what was wrong and whether it was worth fixing our air conditionerThe High Road Heating & Cooling technician informed us that the air conditioner was out of FreonAlso, he said that being out of Freon meant that there was a leakHe checked for a leak and said that all he could tell was that there could be a very, very small leak – which he could not findWith that information, he advised that recharging the air conditioner with Freon would solve the immediate problem, and with such a small leak, it would likely stay charged for a couple of years Between June and July 4, the high temperature for the day did not get above degreesWe have our thermostat set to degrees in the summer because we prefer to have the windows open for the bre

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I will choose the option to have a check for $mailed to me. The weather in the week after I responded to High Road Heating & Cooling on Oct15, 2017, was close to degrees -- definitely warm enough to fix an air conditioner. As it is unfortunate that High Road Heating & Cooling took approximately a month to get back to me, I will choose to have a check for $mailed to me ASAP instead of waiting until next spring for them to look at the unit.Thank you

I want to clarify that Mr. [redacted]’s air conditioner issue was a leak of refrigerant.  When we tell homeowners about refrigerant repairs/leaks that there is no guarantee once the system starts to leak.  We can add the refrigerant and it can last 2 years or more but, also,  may not...

last a 24 hours.  That is a standard phrase we use with our customers.  In addition, when a system leaks ice and condensation can form on the lines.  The system has to be turned off before we can look at.  I apologize that our technician did not communicate to our team and scheduler to connect with Mr. [redacted] to schedule a time to take a 2nd look at the issue when he was told to turn his system off.    On 10/10/17 we contacted Mr. [redacted] via email with details on his situation and how we are happy to take care of it.  They are as follows: With that in mind; we certainly can return to add pressure to the system again to see if it reveals a leak we did not find on the 13th.   There are a couple of things that can happen on this return call.    *Firstly for us to return and test the system again there will be no charge to you. *If we find a leak – we repair it (this portion will be charged) and we add refrigerant at no charge to you.  *If we don’t find a leak then we have to decide what the next step is – or something else may reveal itself – that something else would be chargeable. *We return and find that the system is holding the newly added refrigerant; then we need to find what else is causing the system to not function correctly.  In doing research on this issue did find an email response from Mr. [redacted] on 10/15/17.  However, I thought he had not contacted us and thought the issue resolved.   We took no further action until the Revdex.com contacted us.   With that in mind, we have the repair options I detailed above and are happy to complete those as temperatures allow; Spring 2018.    Otherwise, we are happy to refund him $335.00  since the bulk of his repair was refrigerant; which has no guarantees.    Please let us know the next step.
