On I called High Security Locksmith to repair my lock since the key could no longer open the door from outside The service man came charged me $(He wanted to charge me over $before), "repaired" the lock with what he said was a new cylinder, gave me a receipt and left assuring me that the lock was fixed I tried it at the time and it worked On Sunday I realized that the new key the service man gave me was no longer able to open the door from the outside and called the company on Monday to tell them of the problem They again sent back the same man who had come before, and he tried to fix the lock and then told me that the problem stems from the lock being old and so I would have to give them an additional $to buy a new lock setI told him I don't have that kind of money and as a professional he should have recognized that when he came before Moreover, when the man left the second time the door could not stay closed at all, where as it could at least close before he came I spoke to the manager, who called himself Jeff, but he said he could not help me unless I am prepared to buy a new lock set I feel that I should at least receive a refund The man who came should have realized from the start that my old lock needed to be replaced and told me so Then I would have made my decision as to whether or not to put out $for a day temporary fix Also due to the fact that coming back to repair the job further compounded the problem, and now my door could not stay lock at all I have learned to be careful about going online to seek out companies for repair jobs, especially when these companies do not state their addresses and email on receipts and business cards Also when you try to research them on Revdex.com and their email and websites brings up "not found" something is wrong

On 10/**/15 I called High Security Locksmith to repair my lock since the key could no longer open the door from outside. The service man came charged me $180 (He wanted to charge me over $200 before), "repaired" the lock with what he said was a new cylinder, gave me a receipt and left assuring me that the lock was fixed. I tried it at the time and it worked. On Sunday 10/**/15 I realized that the new key the service man gave me was no longer able to open the door from the outside and called the company on Monday 10/**/15 to tell them of the problem. They again sent back the same man who had come before, and he tried to fix the lock and then told me that the problem stems from the lock being old and so I would have to give them an additional $180 to buy a new lock set. I told him I don't have that kind of money and as a professional he should have recognized that when he came before. Moreover, when the man left the second time the door could not stay closed at all, where as it could at least close before he came. I spoke to the manager, who called himself Jeff, but he said he could not help me unless I am prepared to buy a new lock set.
I feel that I should at least receive a refund. The man who came should have realized from the start that my old lock needed to be replaced and told me so. Then I would have made my decision as to whether or not to put out $180 for a 8 day temporary fix. Also due to the fact that coming back to repair the job further compounded the problem, and now my door could not stay lock at all. I have learned to be careful about going online to seek out companies for repair jobs, especially when these companies do not state their addresses and email on receipts and business cards. Also when you try to research them on Revdex.com and their email and websites brings up "not found" something is wrong.

Review: My front door lock was not opening indicating it had broken. I called High Security Locksmith Friday, [redacted], 2015 ca. 9:00 p.m. Someone came in a half hour or so and took out the deficient lock and let me in. The man "[redacted]" told me he would give me a new cylinder and once I had the mechanism of the lock replaced, it would work well. I paid $189.00 to have the lock opened and paid $100.00 to have the cylinder replaced. I had the mechanism replaced Monday, April [redacted] by my [redacted] (who was unavailable Friday evening). The cylinder I was sold by High Security turned out to be deficient and had to be replaced when the mechanism was replaced Monday. I phoned High Security (###-###-####) Monday evening and the man (who said he was the [redacted]) said since the cylinder was installed and didn't work, they would not give me a refund because it was "used" and I agreed to have it installed, thus it was my problem. He [redacted] also said he would come over and "prove" to me the cylinder was working, but if he did, I would have to pay additional charges for this. I am reporting that this was a very poor product (the cylinder) and that I cannot get a $100.00 refund is really incorrect. Also when I spoke with [redacted], whom I called first after the cylinder proved to be not working he yelled at me, as well as the "[redacted]" was very rude over the phone. This is just bad business.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $100.00 for the deficient cylinder.

Review: Called this company when locked out of my apartment late night on a weekday. I was quoted a price of $80. When they arrived, I was told the fee was $195. After two minutes of picking the lock, I was presented with a bill of $250 (the $195, plus $35 for night service, plus $20 tax - although he insisted on being paid in cash).Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $170 - the difference between the $80 quote and the $250 I was charged.

Review: I called for a lock service because I lost the key to my room door.. And when I call,I ask how much it would be for the service and they told me it's $15 for the service call and $35 to open the door knob..They told me they will come within 15-20 minutes but they didn't come until 1 1/2 hour later.. So the guy finally came and drill my door knob and opened it..My complaint is,when he come to my house he should've discuss the price with me before he did it.. I just assume it would be $50 because that's what they told me on the phone..After he finished,he wrote a receipt for $419.16 and he demanded me to pay it..Horrible scam.. it is isheartening to know that their business is conducted like this and that I was cornered into a situation in which I was subject to pay for such a ridiculous amount.Desired Settlement: I wanted to be charged the price that they discuss to me on the phone which is $50

Review: On December **, 2013 I had to call High Security around 2 am because I had mistakenly left my purse at with my friend and went home. Having left my keys, cell phone and wallet with my friend, I had no way to get into my apartment or get back to her. The only person with an additional set of keys wasn't in town and I didn't have her number. My Super or his son called High Security for me and they arrived on the scene. They drilled a hole in the lower lock and then replaced the upper lock. I received a bill for $574 and paid immediately with a credit card that I had in my apartment.

Now it's June and for the last month or more I've had problems using my lock. Either I spend 10 or more minutes trying to get into my apartment or 10 minutes trying to get out. I nearly had to call the police the other day because I feared I was locked into my own apartment. Upon further inspection that a knowledgeable friend and then the Super and my landlord shared with me, the lock is cheap and a no name brand. It was not installed properly and at times it's nearly impossible to get my door open or get the key out of the lock. The lock also wasn't created properly and instead of it being smooth, is very rough.

I called awhile back and told them my problem. They told me they'd come out and would give me a 10% discount. I disagreed and said it should be for free. Since then, they've not answered nor returned my calls. I believe that a lock should last far more than 5 months, especially since I've been extremely ill during those months and on many, many a day, I don't even leave my apartment so the lock has not been used extensively at all. It was a poorly done job and they took advantage of a single woman late a night who was in a dilemma and put in a poor quality lock. I feel they should have come back and fixed the problem no charge because a lock should last for a long time and it hasn't. This isn't like a t-shirt that has been worn too much and wears out, this is a lock that should last for a long time and was never installed properly. I also feel that fee was extremely excessive.Desired Settlement: I feel that since I've now had to take matter into my own hands and find a reputable locksmith who will come and change my locks and install a quality lock and do so properly. I certainly wouldn't trust their work again. I'd like a full refund or at the very least, a partial refund. Basically they have installed something that was done so poorly that if a fire broke out, there's a very real possibility of me being hurt or injured.
