Please consider the following points in response to Mr***'s letter to you:1. The padding had minor squeaking in a few areas, specifically near a staircase and in a bedroom.2. The padding representative and offered to pay for padding replacement in those areas and pay for the
re-installation of the padding limited to those areas.3. One of our installers visited the site to perform this service and found that due to the complexity of the spindling of the staircase, the carpet could not be removed and replaced satisfactorily around the spindles as it would be destroyed in the removal process.4. There was no carpet left in the same dye lot to purchase new carpet for the stair surround to accomplish removal and replacement of the carpet to replace the two squeaky spots in the stair area.5. Mr*** requested a monetary settlement.6. I met with representatives of the padding manufacturer and they made a counter-offer of $1,000.00, plus padding replacement in the bedroom including labor.7. Mr*** accepted this offer. There was no period of time where Mr*** was ignored. The numerous visits and communications with him and a third party, the padding manufacturers, all around holidays took a lot of time.At this point I am awaiting finalization from the padding manufacturer, and we will arrange for an installer to fulfill the terms of the agreement. Please contact me for clarification, or further information.Sincerely,Susan GPresidentCarpet & Flooring Centers of NJ, Inc.***

Revdex.com:There seems to be a disparity in the tone of the customer's correspondence with the Revdex.com and my conversation with *** *** directly. In reality, there has been much communication between *** and me, and he has seemed very friendly and agreeable. Yet, he repeatedly states in his writings that he has been ignored and he does "not trust this company". I believe that it would be better if ALL communication was done with him through the Revdex.com at this point. To clarify, soon after the installation in the attic *** contacted me stating that his padding was "squeaking". I visited his home and had to get on the floor with my ear inches from the spot as he gently pressed on the carpet repeatedly until I thought I heard a slight squeak. He showed me several spots that he had labeled, each time the "squeak" was so slight that I had to listen closely while he repeatedly pressed on the carpet asking, "Did you hear it? Listen again...." I contacted the padding company and the rep visited the site. I also had an installer visit the site to get his input. Coincidentally, there was a flooring show scheduled a few weeks later and this padding company was going to attend the show. *** agreed that it was a good idea to wait until this opportune time to again relay his complaint, this time to a higher level in this company. *** asked for compensation of $2,700.00, approximately half of the total cost. I thought this was an outrageous amount, given the subtlety of the "noise". Nonetheless, I presented it to the padding company in a very firm manner, wanting to end this issue. After much discussion, the padding company agreed to compensate him $1,and padding replacement in one bedroom with labor (about $value). *** agreed to this settlement. The company is a very large firm and the check will require time for processing, especially given the nature of the circumstances. Meanwhile, the installer was going to replace the padding in the one small bedroom. The installer called *** to tell him he had the flu, and *** response to him was, "Don't bring any germs to my house!" According to the installer, *** was very agreeable to waiting until he is feeling better.Because we have had what seems to be a friendly exchange between ***, his wife, the installer, the padding rep, and myself, and yet in correspondence with the Revdex.com a different picture is painted, I think it is best to keep all communication in the daylight of your organization. The agreement is as follows:Mrand Mrs*** *** agree to accept $1,and replacement of the padding in one bedroom as a full and final settlement with Carpet & Flooring Centers, of NJ, Inc., the padding manufacturer, and any person or entity related to the materials and installation of the carpet and padding in their third floor and the stair case. (The carpet warranty as stated by the manufacturer will remain intact as specified by *** ***, and will be limited to that as stated by ***.) This offer is made without prejudice.I would like Mr*** to agree in writing to the Revdex.com to the above before any further steps are taken to resolve this matter. As an alternate offer, I would like to add $to the settlement and not replace the padding in the bedroom as, unfortunately, I am becoming increasingly concerned about Mr***'s ambivalence and misrepresentation to the Revdex.com.Thank you very much for your assistance in the resolution of this matter.Sincerely,Susan GPresidentCarpet & Flooring Centers of NJ, Inc

I am rejecting this response because:
There is no disparity in our tone with the business and the Revdex.com.  A defective padding has been installed in three bedrooms, a long hall and multiple closets on the second floor of our house.  The squeaking is not minor, and it can be heard without placing one's ear to the floor. When the padding rep came for his inspection he heard the squeaking in multiple areas. The installation was done in July, 2016, and my husband has been trying to resolve this ever since.  A reputable company would have replaced all inferior supplies in a timely manner; this was definitely not the case. We have been more than patient and generous.  We paid 5,590.75 for this installation, and we only asked for one bedroom to be changed and compensation of $1,000,00.  In reality, the entire padding should be changed.  The padding in the other rooms and the hall squeak as well. When the company finally agreed to fix the problem in February of 2017, the installer called to say he was sick(no one said anything about germs).  My husband tried to call Sue G  numerous times to reschedule, but his phone calls were ignored. There is no misrepresentation on our part here.  We paid a huge amount for carpet and padding , and we want a good product installed. We cannot accept the alternate offer.  Sue G is offering an additional $175 to the settlement to not change the padding in one room; but after getting two estimates, it would cost at least $250 for another company to change the padding.  She has also made a verbal agreement to cut the carpet her installers left hanging over the master bedroom step and put a reducer.  We requested for it to be done this way originally, but it was done not according our wishes. We would accept an additional $300 to the settlement which would cover an alternative company to replace the padding in one bedroom and fix the problem with the reducer in the master bedroom. If this counteroffer is not acceptable by Sue G, we request for the original settlement to be honored. Sincerely, [redacted]

The complaining parties further agree to avoid public discussion of interaction, circumstances, and settlement with Carpet & Flooring Centers of NJ, Inc. $1,300.00 will be sent within 30 days of the written acceptance of this agreement via certified US mail to: Mr. & Ms. [redacted] This offer is made as a courtesy and is without prejudice. I am rejecting this response because:I am sorry, the previous email from Revdex.com regarding my complaint was overlooked. Please do not close the case yet,  we have made an agreement with the business but she is giving a very hard time fulfilling it.  She has already postponed twice the scheduled repairs and has not yet rescheduled a new date. She also is not responding and ignoring to our numerous phone calls to reschedule.  Also,  I still have not received the monetary compensation that we agreed upon. The settlement was not what we wanted and does not fix most of the problems with the carpeting, but we agreed upon it as we saw it as the most we could negotiate from this business without going to court. So please do not close the case yet as we do not trust this businessI am forwarding you a copy of the email of the agreement.Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter.
Regards,
