I purchased a used vehicle from the dealership on 5/31/14 a week after I first saw the vehicle and asked for several issues to be resolved (speedometer, check engine light, dents, cigarette lighter missing) before I had the vehicle inspected. The dealer told me on 5/24/14 that the part (instrument cluster) had to be ordered, he would have the mechanic fix the check engine light and replace the cigarette lighter.I received a call on Saturday morning, 5/31 and was told the vehicle was "fixed and all ready to go" and that I could pick it up. I had the vehicle inspected and found other issues that needed to be resolved (bad water pump, bad front ball joint) I signed the contract documents, a fix repair order and left the office. As I was driving home, the speedometer started to fluctuate and then stopped. I immediately pulled over and called the dealer, who told me that it was no problem and he would order another part.I returned Sunday, 6/1 to have the water pump and ball joint replaced. On Thursday, 6/5 I spoke to the dealer after receiving information from the credit union that a fee ($1100 for "special financing")was not required. He informed me that he would not remove the fee. I told him that the deal was off and to return my deposit. He told me he would return my deposit minus the $300 for the water pump and ball joint. I told him I would see him in court. He returned my call, five minutes later and removed the fee.I have not received a smog inspection to register the vehicle. I have not received the instrument cluster to fix the speedometer. I have not received the paperwork to register the vehicle so that it is street legal.Product_Or_Service: 2005 [redacted] SierraDesired SettlementI would like the instrument cluster replaced as promised, by an authorized and accredited repair facility. I would like the dents repaired as promised, by an authorized and accredited repair facility. I would like the smog inspection to be done by a authorized and accredited repair facility. I would like all paperwork so that I can register the vehicle in Nevada. If any of the above cannot be done, I would like to rescind the contract and have my deposit of $3000 returned Business Response The contract signed was always for the $13995. The bank fee was never on the signed agreement. The vehicle has been repaired as per agreement. We installed a new battery, so the vehicle had to be driven before a smog test could be performed. You just need to go have it smogged, we are paying for it. You were informed at time of sale and seemed to understandConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The problem with the explanation from High Sierra Auto is that it lacks truth. Here are the facts in this case.1. I have the original drawn contract and it is not for $13995.2. I have a written response from High Sierra Auto admitting that they need to replace the instrument cluster.3. I have a written promise to repair the dent on the truck, that went unfilled because they did not respond. Something that High Sierra Auto likes to state is that it was repaired per agreement. What agreement? I have the agreement and the dent was not repaired. The estimate for the dent is over $900 and they are not a licensed body shop.4. I have had the truck smogged and it was not by High Sierra Auto, I paid for it. They have been fined by the [redacted]. Selling a vehicle in [redacted] County without a valid smog inspection is illegal.5. I have the "new" battery in my truck and the manufacture date is from November 2010. Maybe they stockpile batteries, but most likely is that it is not a new battery and they are not telling the truth.Simple facts are that High Sierra Auto advertises itself as a "A" rated business by the Revdex.com. They even have this claim embossed on their business cards. In fact, they have an "F" rating. High Sierra Auto is not licensed to perform mechanical services on their lot. In my case, they used mechanic who used a rolling floorjack to fix a ball joint in the steering system. Very unsafe and very illegal. Good thing I took a picture of it.In closing, High Sierra Auto does not have a license to provide automotive mechanical services, that I can find in the State of Nevada and they do not have a body shop licensed in the State of Nevada. It will be a pleasure to sue them in small claims court, get all that was promised to be fixed and the court costs.

I purchased a truck from this dealership after asking about low rating from Revdex.com and Yelp. I was informed by George and Travis that it was under new ownership and that they were in process of rebuilding the dealership. I am not so trusting of a person if you get my drift......BUT....
Frankly I was impressed by my treatment during and after paying them in FULL!! I asked hard questions and they gave me no run around or blew smoke up my behind at all. The truck was in excellent shape and I love it.
I had a couple of issues with the truck after giving them a cashiers check and they responded very quickly and resolved the issues with no muss or fuss. This was after they had received payment in full 2 days prior and were items that I had missed before purchasing truck so if they were SHADY, they did not act like it when they could have easily.
I will advise you this..... be prepared to negotiate using your "A" game as they were VERY GOOD. Very fair as well.
I hate car buying with a passion but I must say I will refer my friends to this dealership. ","pos-1

My boyfriend and I had tried purchasing a car from High Sierra and one of the employees submitted incorrect information to the bank that we received financing. We were informed that we needed to show a W-2 for his previous job in order to keep the same loan. We could not find a W-2 and it was very pricy to try getting one from Turbo Tax. We told the company this, they then tried to get us to sign another loan that was at least a 4% high interest rate than the previous one with $1000.00 more down on the vehicle (we had already given them part of the down payment). When we refused to sign they told us to give the keys back, which we happily did. I then asked about our deposit and the woman told us that they would need to keep some of it for the miles we put on the car (This was never an agreed term). I asked to speak with the financing person and was told he would be in the next day. In the meantime I was looking for another car. When I had my credit ran at another dealership I was informed that High Sierra ran my credit at least 11 times. We do not know how many times my boyfriend's was ran. The next day I went to speak with the financing manager and after waiting at the dealership for 2 hours he finally showed up. When I spoke with him he informed me that we signed a non refundable deposit agreement and that there was nothing he could do. I asked why the rest of the paperwork was void and not this particular one and his answer was that he had already paid his employees. I then asked about my credit being ran so many times and he told me that they would never do that, however, the report he had showed my credit being run by the company that told me about all the times they ran mine meaning they ran it again AFTER I returned the car. I went home and looked at the paper stating it was non refundable and then I read over my contract. In reading over it I found a section stating that if the sale was cancelled because we couldn't reach an agreement then I was to receive all my money.Product_Or_Service: [redacted]zDesired SettlementI want them to pay the amount on the receipt that he kept showing me. Through no fault of my own they could not make the sale happen. It is in the contract that I am to receive my money back and they are not adhering to their contract. They are choosing what paperwork is valid and what isn't. We do not have the car, we did not damage it, and they couldn't get a decent price for us. I also want compensation for my credit. I received rejection letters stating the amount of times it was ran was whyBusiness Response [redacted] and her boyfriend came in on 04/25/2015 looking for a vehicle. They had been to other dealerships and were unable to obtain a vehicle. They found a vehicle here and we proceeded to make a deal with them. The custumer provided us with information to fill out the Credit application and High Sierra Ran their credit once and only once on 04/25/2015. We had sent the information to several lenders to get them the best deal available, the customer came in and signed the second contract at the approval that we had. We sent it to the bank for funding, the bank retuned the contract because the information the custumer provided was not correct, such as [redacted] was employeed with a Temp agency and her boyfriend had not been at the previous Job the amount of time that he had stated on the application. We called the customer that day and informed them of what had happend, and asked for the W-2's to make sure that he had been there that length of time and send it to the bank, the customer did not come back in for a week after that. When they came in I asked them if they had gotten the W-2's and they said that they had not, they asked if there was anything else or any other way that we could go, we told them that there was another lender that we could do the deal through but the rate was higher and the amount finances was less so we cut the selling price and to get to the amount financed they would need to come up with the difference, or look at another vehicle. The customer did not want to do either. As far as the down payment goes they did sign a non-refundable deposit that states it is non-refundable, the customer was aware of this.

I had purchased a vehicle from high sierra auto sales in march of 2014. The vehicle came with a warranty of 12,000 miles or 12 months. On June of 2014 The vehicle had transmission problems, so I reported it to [redacted] at the dealership. He told me to call the warranty company to file a claim. They do not have the vehicle on file. [redacted] told me that he has had issues with the company not wanting to pay for vehicle repair. My warranty claims it covers $1600 worth of work. The total of work done to the vehicle is $1450.00. [redacted] said he would take care of it and now he is only paying for the parts. He said it is not his fault that the warranty company is not paying there portion.Product_Or_Service: Ford sport tracDesired SettlementI would like the balance of $1450.00 paid in full by high sierra auto sales.Business Response The warranty company we had signed up with failed to cover any vehicles, basically they were a scam. I canceled all warranties all warranties and am covering it here at High Sierra Auto Sales. However, I am only covering what is written in the warranty document.Read the warranty paperwork , it clearly states: "In order for this service to remain in force the vehicle is required to have a 30,000 Mile Manufacturer Suggested Service ( No matter what the Miles on the vehicle at time of purchase) within 120 days"I am informed you did not have the vehicle serviced as stated in the warranty. This automatically cancels out any warranty liability on our part. Also:"Warranty does not cover fluids or filters" There is a $78.00 charge on the bill for fluid. Filter Charge of $22.94In good faith, we have paid $550.oo on behalf of [redacted] direct to the [redacted]. Check #[redacted] dated 6/20/2014

I purchesed a 2006 Chevy Equinox from High Sierra Auto which came with a 1 year warranty with the stipulation I the purchaser was to get the required maitnenance on the car within 120 days of purchase. I did get the required matinenance on the car. Faxed proof of required maitnenance to warranty company. Warranty company then informs me that high sierra auto cancelled all the warranties on vehicles purchased from December 11, 2013 to March 2014 except 2 warranties because those were 2 year contracts.Contacted High Sierra they informed me that the warranty company was wrong and I still have a warranty and I was also told by High Sierra Auto why was I worried about the warranty anyways they only cover oil change. I told High Sierra Auto that is not true I have a copy of my warranty and have read it from top to bottom and they cover much more then just oil change and again I was told I still have a warranty and to tell the warranty company to send me proof. So again I called the warranty company and they said they spoke to there head boss and my warranty is cancelled and [redacted] the owner of High Sierra Auto is the one who personally cancelled the warranties.Desired SettlementI just want the one year warranty on my car.
