High Tech Movers

Review: High Tech Movers was hired on May 30, 2014 through the [redacted] website for the purpose of loading a moving truck at [redacted]. I prepaid online a total of $275.95 with my Chase Visa card for 2 men/4 hours of labor. They were scheduled for 2pm on Friday, 6/20 - the moving truck arrived Friday at noon from ABF.They did not show up until 4:30pm making it impossible to load for the full 4 hours, since I was not available to monitor the progress and security of my belongings until 9pm. They agreed to work until 6pm and return on Monday at 10am. This was confirmed with [redacted] via phone (the phone staff operator who originally arranged the set up of time).I was scheduled to formally close on my house with the local attorney on Tuesday at 9am, which left little time for loading with their reschedule. In addition the ABF truck was scheduled for pick-up on Monday evening at 6pm.Monday morning at 10:22 am, I made my first call to High Tech Movers to question their ETA and was hung up on by the worker (the same gentleman that came Friday -his cell number is [redacted]). I tried back a few times unsuccessfully, but left a detailed message that I was expecting them. I also called the [redacted], but never reached a human being to discuss their arrival. Ultimately, they never returned. I was forced to find other movers at short notice and extend the use of my ABF truck until later. I left 2 others messages requesting a return call and a refund my credit card charge and no one has returned my message. In addition, I will head to the Slidell Police Dept to file a theft claim today.Desired Settlement: $275.95
