High View Place urges UTSA students to fill out an online profile on its website if interested in signing up for an apartment for the next semester. Unfortunately, the business takes advantage of college students by turning initial interest into a binding contract by including an ESA (electronic signature ) blank for them to fill out online. They entice students to 'save their place' and fill this out. Then, when that student stays in the dorm, finds another place to live or transfers or drops out of school, he or she is hit with a $500 'assignment fee,' with a 7-day payment warning before the fee is turned over to debt collector. Absolutely shameless scam on unsuspecting college students.
